Mate, I genuinely can't tell if you're taking the piss here?
Liverpool, City, United, Leicester, and Spurs are on course to finish above 70 points. We are on course to finish well below that. We haven't beaten anyone currently above us, and we sit 9th. Add the fact we are getting progressively worse as each game passes with zero signs of progression, how do you genuinely expect us to finish Top 4? Which, you know, was the bare minimum for this season?

We already went with an unknown quantity in Lampard to begin with and it's not working too well. Not sure if it's wise to hire another unknown quantity, even if it's only on an interim basis.

No, he doesn't. He just stands on the touchline, hands crossed and looks passive and quiet. And god knows what even Jody Morris is doing as well.

I don't really get this notion as it being some kind of bad thing, it's similar at a lot of big clubs, even the one's that win league's every year. Partly because the modern player gets bored of the same voice after a while (Pep cited that as one of the reason's he left Barcelona) and partly because managers themselves want to try out different things.
Also for all this talk about us being a poisoned chalice I feel quite the opposite, if you really want to build a great team and era there's few if any better resourced clubs than us to provide for a manager. They get strong backing in the market and have the best academy in the world to dip into, yes strong results are expected but why shouldn't they be with those resources available? If you were Nagelsmann and saw the opportunity to take over an already highly talented side, spend £200m to bring your own players to compliment that and alongside both of those have youngsters of the quality of Livramento, Gallagher, Bate and Soonsup-Bell knocking on the door you really think that wouldn't appeal?

Absolutely he was reaping the results of Sarri's passing blueprint. Who remembers last year, under lampard, when we DOMINATED city at the etihad in the first half. Scored first too. That Jorginho, Kante, Kovacic midfield kept the ball of city well.
Obviously, that trio has its problems. But when we played well last season it was definitely building on Sarri's work. Frank took away the restrained passes and implored the players to go forward which was when we played our best football last year.
As time went on our passing has steadily declined. Sarri was boring but good luck pressing us for the ball- that was our best chance of scoring!

Might as well try Havertz as false 9 or something. I'm sick of seeing Werner dropping deep at times, he's just useless at that (just like he's useless as a winger)

I remember it was still somewhat taboo to say frank was an average manager around October/November. Dismissed as some sort of hater.
Now the easy run in is finished an we have had 5/6 games of good teams its good to see that kind of gatekeeping is in the past. The shoe is on the other foot now.
Those two dreadful games against sevilla and united were certainly building platforms for attacking football just as bad.
Sorry Frank, I can't see you going anywhere. I can't see us getting past Atleti or top 4.
Such a shame we missed out on Poch like when we missed out on Klopp as we get Jose got too long

Tbf I still think Sarri with these attacking players such as Havertz, Werner, Ziyech, even guys like Mount would have us doing a lot lot better than Frank does just now. It never felt like we were a million miles away we just lacked something extra in attack and midfield in terms of being creative.
I think the likes of Havertz and Ziyech would of been so much better suited than Hazard and Willian tbf. Even then, at least you seen the teams identity with Sarri and there was a clear style of play. Just lacked some players to make it work. Hazard was a world class player but never in the same mould as Insigne or Callejon. Willian the same. Pedro was more similar to Callejon which is why he scored all those goals. Probably similar to why Juventus struggled in attack also because Ronaldo and Dybala are more individualistic players than team players.
I know Juventus sacked him but Juventus are still far from a much improved or better side. They had/still have ageing players and changing that squad to play in Sarri’s system and his sort of high energy high pressing football was always going to be difficult. Hence why even with Pirlo now your still seeing Juventus do well one game then struggle the next because he is trying to also change them in a way to suit his philosophy. They’ve dropped points at teams you would expect them to win at. Atalanta, Fiorentina, Lazio, Roma, Verona, Benevento....

He really did wonders in EPL Conte, every bloody team copied us, everyone.

It's also because Sarriball is just bad and doesn't seem to work at the biggest clubs. He had better and more creative players at Juventus and still played bad football and got sacked. He just happened to have all the tools at Napoli.
Conteball was largely fine till Conte himself decided to check out in his second season. What he did and got us play in the first season was arguably our most exciting season in the last decade.

The fact people are stating we apparently don't have a better squad than Villa (who was missing Mings, Barkley, and Trez), Wolves (Who was missing Jimenez and Moutinho) Everton ( who was missing both full backs, James, and Allan) and Arsenal (who were practically missing their entire starting XI) when Ziyech isn't in the team, has me for a lost for words.

Maybe some players actually take credit for their bad performances. I mean, it is not like Lampard says to them "hey, just put 30 crosses per game and when you don't cross, just do sideway passes until you can cross it again without any variation of the cross".
We have been through these periods many times. It is not the only time we lack creativity. Sarri Ball was boring as hell, Conte had his moments but second season was horrible and in Mou's second season, first half was very good but then we collapsed and Hazard alone won us the title in the end. But I remember those horrible Mou performances during second part of the season. Is it always the coachs fault?
Mou definitely was fault in the third season when he did not see the obvious that Ivanovic was finished as a player at a top club. Conte came and benched him for good. Mou deserved the sack because he had his favourites, but I think Chelsea still should have done better because back then we had a much better midfield compared to now. Also, Hazard is much better than Pulisic and Costa better than our strikers.

Rudiger was a legit contributor in the FA Cup final and Europa league wins. Was man of the match in the FA final too.
You're right of course, especially Conte. He did exceptionally well with the dross at his disposal and that coaching success isn't mitigated in the slightest by poor transfers on his part
