don't care if he goes; I never rated him highly unless one were to play him as RW. Steven Naismith looked smarter at CF than Lukaku at times last season --although Naismith doesn't have the size to hold up the ball in front of the CBs. Maybe Big Rom will finally learn how to play as a good CF one day, but I really don't care. Ship him to Wolfsburg and get Ricardo Rodriguez if possible... or, whatever the plan is; doesn't matter. I'm only worried that Liverpool end up with Ricardo Rodriguez.

Could this be the best ever Chelsea squad?
quickpassnmove replied to Gilvorak's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I would take the 2004/05 squad with a peak Drogba... but that was never seen. that squad was, as someone said above, balanced. something CFC have lacked for a long time. Also, I'll add that I don't think Chelsea have had a player as good as Arjen Robben yet. Hopefully some of our current young players become as good. -
How do you lot know that Mourinho actually wanted M. vanGinkel? Did I miss an interview or statement somewhere? because I was under the impression that vanGinkel was a player the scouts had been watching for a while and CFC decided to sign him.

I wish there were good news about JOMikel leaving Chelsea Football Club. I don't understand why this crap player got a five-year deal.

good choice of player: tottenham for Brahimi http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tottenham-eye-transfer-yacine-brahimi-3820847

sell Lukaku, buy Rodriguez. git'r dun.

if rumours are true, I very much like this "take it or leave it" approach by the Chelsea. so, stick with it and if AM don't compromise, take Ricardo, posthaste.

I wouldn't worry about any of this right now. A new PL season with a good, attacking LB, RB, better CMs, and a real striker will define what Hazard is made of; not this Belgian side with a manager who lines Fellaini up in CM versus Argentina. I'm inclined to believe that Eden might not be as infatuated with the game of football in general as some of his peers, but being surrounded by some better talent and depth in this new Chelsea squad that's being built, might help him and everyone involved.

Luis is 29 in 5 weeks from now.
-
bid 19.5 -22 million right now. Makes no sense spending the same amount on Flipper Luis who is close to 30 years old and certainly not an athletic specimen by any means.

Let's get this guy. I don't see any negatives. forget all the other names out there.

The World Cup is not a good example of Michael Bradley because Klinsmann used the wrong tactics by making Bradley a middle outlet/transition player. He should have never been used like that; he's incapable of doing it. Klinsmann screwed up in the World Cup by letting the wide players remain pinned back instead of keeping a line of THREE center midfielders hover in front of the defense (4-3-3). Would have suited M. Bradley and the USA much better and I don't understand why there was NO CHANGE over 4 matches until Bradley moved back in extra time yesterday. Management failure. Pointless because we were not going to defend and turnover the ball all the way to the semi-finals and we're not developing anything by playing that way.

Torres needed to be given away for free a while ago. hopeless.
-
this rumour is just going to disappear. Nigeria were not very good on attack altogether in the WC, but for the number of times Emenike was not positioned in the correct spot, I have to assume that he's just not one of those guys who knows where to be at the right moment.
-
Not good enough. Bradley can make some nice passes, but doesn't respond to pressure around him well enough, nor is he nimble & technical enough under pressure. He's also not very strong.
-
I hope it's "Steam Rolla Costa"
-
Oh... well, next week sounds right to me. Sign up three.
-
I'm fine with Costa, Emenike, and Bamford as center forwards for the season. Guess Emenike is a better price and equal threat compared to Bony. Fine by me. Good choice. Hope we find a way to get rid of Torres and Mikel.
-
No doubt Vidal is a rhino in MF, but I'm with Rio Ferd on this one. Pogba has, IMO, more grace and a longer future. There's also his height and ball skills.
-
...and something different from Blacszykowski.
-
I don' think Aubameyang is a real possibility. Emenike makes sense though. Costa, Emenike, Tiago, F. Luis all fine with me. Meanwhile... I'm wondering if Jose is ready to begin looking at Bertrand and vanAanholt as a LB backup. And, every club must be watching Monaco's financial situation closely while eyeing James--surely poised to become one of the top 5 players in the world.
-
I'm hoping this guy gets another chance at Chelsea and that his injuries are well behind him. Would be great to see him forming an effective midfield with Fab and Matic.

I thought he looked very good in the Colombia match. Hellas' possession in the first half revolved around him for at least 25 minutes. The problem was that the team is just not good enough. It's strange that Samaras starts for Greece.
