Moses just isn't as strong on the ball as I expected him to be after hearing about him years ago, at CP. Not Chelsea material.
-
If this guy developed the habit of making some quicker passes by spotting space in front of the opposition defence beyond his own line, he would do well enough for me, but he doesn't do those things nearly enough. If he played the same way for Alex, he wouldn't last at United. Yet, here he is, still a Blue.

At this point, Chelsea fans better hope that Matic, vanGinkel, Oscar and Fab all stay healthy. Jobi will never speed-up our build-up play. I don't think Romeu is good enough under pressure, but Chelsa are still very thin on quality in center midfield. This club needs rid of Mikel and Torres badly...... (Moses and Marin too).

wank all you want on the pre-season excuse, but it still looks like the Chelsea that don't play quick enough to break teams down. Hoping for some change in tempo, Torres to fall off the face of the Earth, and maybe a change of formation. I don't see the point in pushing one CM up every time the other team is packing it in; the striker can also drop deeper for possession. Pull them out.

I like Sturridge, but we will see how good he is without a Suarez or Rooney lining up next to him. Lallana and Sturridge COULD work well --or Lambert-Sturridge. Lambert's a very good passer

Hard to say what would be good at this point honestly. Torres probably not leaving and where would we find a decent young striker who is willing to play off the bench? Benteke would have been nice (who is also arguably one of the best all-around choices for CF in the world), but why would Bentekkers come to Chelsea after Costa? seems to me Marin, Moses, and Mikel need to leave very quickly. Afterward, maybe consider someone like Yarmolenko who could be a backup striker, but who is also very capable RW with a left foot. I'm all out of ideas for the moment. I'm certain that Jose has better ideas than most of us at this moment--which feels distinctly different from the past 5 years at Chelsea Football Club. Maybe Ivanovic can continue as striker when Torres is the only match-fit choice. Hope that Costa remains healthy. -
If I were in Europe/UK, I would join people to send a message: "GTFO Fernando"

Anyone still want another CB? Impressive young defender at St. Etienne too. consistency will come.

Lube.Lee.Anna.

I never wanted him and could not believe when Chelsea signed him for 50 mil. how were his legs (knees?) ignored months leading up to that deal? hard to comprehend. Albatross is a good way to characterize that HUGE mistake. but maybe if Chelsea and Roman will have learned very well from that mistake and Roman remains owner for years to come, Chelsea will, overall benefit from what was learned from this idiotic acquisition in January 2011.

As the guy with the Welsh flag says above, Romeu.

I am FOR promoting Lewis Baker, selling Mikel.

Don't use any hair loss prevention drugs--especially DON'T USE PROPECIA.

Torres leaving Chelsea would be such a HUGE BOOST for CFC. Get it done however you can CFC.

Is it possible (legal) in European football to loan a player and pay for a portion of his wages during that loan? Doesn't seem like this guy is going anywhere, but I'm curious whether Chelsea have considered loaning him last summer or this, or letting him transfer for free while paying off some of his contract (salary).

wow. there are a number of promising young players at Chelsea. makes me so anxious to see them reach for the top level and succeed.

Fernando's back in the burger van.
-
Good news! Happy to have him in the club and competing for a spot in CM! Welcome to the forum, IceMan

I'm also excited by Boga, Ake, Brown. Do you know whether Chelsea will post this complete match on their site for video-on-demand? Or, should I watch live Chelsea TV online for a replay?
-
5 million sounds about right. He's a nothing-player with stature and good feet on high wages. offload him any way possible, just like we wish for Torres (but it's impossible for Torres).

Anyone gotten an update on the 14.5 million Juve apparently will owe Chelsea over Adrian Mutu? http://www.lawinsport.com/blog/john-shea/item/initial-considerations-from-the-latest-adrian-mutu-compensation-ruling

Did you watch him play more than a couple matches last season? I've watched a lot of football from around Europe and I don't think there's a better centre back right now. He has everything. He's right up there with Godin, Kompany, Ramos, etc.

If this is true, he could be a backup to MvG knowing he could have further knee problems. Good player IMO.
