This season's yellow kit is better than any of them. adidas disappoint with mediocrity and garbage year after year across the globe --except for their German, Mexican, AC Milan, Bayern, etc. kits. Colombian kit looks good though.

We'll see how tenacious he is in midwinter next season. The jury's still out on him, IMO. You can scored 20 goals in one season, but can you be consistent, behave, endure the wet cold and get the job done?

Diego can be a tough opponent, but in reality he's not as strong as he wish he was and he's not what I would call "intimidating." Drogba was an intimidating prospect to defend; Diego is not. If I myself were defending Diego, I wouldn't be worried about being overpowered by him; but the dirty stuff: clawing, eye-raking, spitting, etc. would be cause for self-restraint (not K.O.ing him with a right hook). So, yeah, maybe that's an alternate version of "intimidating."

Interesting on the technical question. so far 3:1 for Costa, but clearly wrong IMO.

if we're getting rid of certain players, I'm going to say that a summer of Song, Pedro, possibly Sterling, Benteke and one defender would be wonderful. I'm still left wondering if we would be lacking the magic player in center midfield, but hell, I don't think it matters when everyone wants Pogba and Koke is going nowhere.

I hope I've posted this in the correct area, but if not I ask the moderator(s) to please place it correctly within the transfer section (because it gets the traffic and interest of most people visiting the forum and Bentekkers is a current rumoured target). The only question I did not post is one on match fitness. I think the two are almost equal on being fit or potentially fit in the future although we know Diego doesn't take the risk of contesting balls in the air nearly as much, so maybe he will be hurt less.

My intuition suggests that the mixture of players potentially landing in Old Trafford for next season will compose a superior attack to ours. Center midfield may be their only soft area when they're done spending. Two big back line signings, one striker, perhaps one CM with experience or high potential and it's on for the title. Mueller and Depay are excellent choices. Louis might have that Dutch-German-English mix that could prove deadly. But... Chelsea can do well with the Brazil-French-formerYugos-English mix. I'll be sad to see Mueller in a Red Devils' kit. Sharp player who can finish in every way possible. It's been said that Bayern will keep Pep, so the Mueller story looks likely. Another note: I still like a couple of the CMs that came out of Wigan: McCarthy and McArthur. We have Matic, but it would be nice to have a workhorse similar to that kind of player break into the Chelsea squad soon. Who it will be, I don't know.

I think Koke is a very desirable target. The inflation of a top player's price is crazy right now, so it should be an interesting endeavor to sign him if it's even possible when the player himself says he's going nowhere. I don't believe Koke, nor Pogba are coming to Chelsea this summer, so we might as well start thinking about someone else for CM.

Sure, that's true, but we'll see if it's possible to sign one of only a few out there. There's not much to choose from. I think this generation looks weak on footballing talent at the moment, but we'll see. Getting someone like Morgan Schneiderlin is still not a bad thought either.

A RW that can win headers, make runs and put in some good crosses would be nice given that Diego doesn't jump when the ball comes in the air from deep. FFS, isn't there one strong, tall winger with good feet out there to buy who also isn't over-valued? How is it that Chelsea are left to looking at players who are all 5'9" or less, not very strong and not terribly good on the ball? I would prefer buying upgrades for the fullback positions (or depth), one top CM, another striker possibly and just waiting to see who emerges during next season. I don't dislike Griezmann and he CAN score, but there's got to be a better way to approach this. None of the players being discussed for winger/AM are top-notch players and none of them are strong. Nice to get more players that can stick in some goals, sure. But I'm thinking "pass" on all these guys. Maybe I'm just looking at it wrong and a move like this is simply about goalscoring for next season. Too bad it looks like Chelsea will pay a premium price for a sub-optimal signing. Bad timing, I guess. On the bright side, we're not Bayern deciding to buy Goetze instead of Neymar LMAO.

pretty good player, but I'm not enthused on a transfer. feels like Chelsea need something greater to make the club a real Champions League contender. Unfortunately, the market doesn't have many interesting forwards/wingers right now, so maybe a left-footed guy who scores and runs all day is a good one. I suppose Jose likes players coming from AM because they've already been broken-in by the AM manager (everyone does the dirty work here).

Except that what is the point in keeping someone on 120,000/week who is absolute crap as a starter while Chelsea supposedly want to use RLC, might be keeping Ramires -and- want to buy another CM? not to mention that Ake can be a better CM than Mikel despite his age and lesser stature.

I have a fairly simple question on attacking players a club like Chelsea could target during a transfer window: who is the THE BEST physical specimen combined with dribbling and shooting skill out there not on a top Champions League club? or, is that thought a waste of time and it's just G. Bale? I don't really see a player out there unless it's someone like Fekir, Sterling, Brahimi... not sure. I can see that Lacazette has goals, but I can't say that I'm impressed with his build or speed... I think the Pharoah is just as good a prospect TBH. Is there not a winger out there with a build like Aguero and a good shot on him?
