Anyone have some perspective on the possibility of Mikel leaving this summer. FFS, he's about the only person in Chelsea's squad I say strongly needs to GTFO. Oscar would just be a good chance to cash-in on a player that probably won't improve very much when he reaches his "prime."

a healthy Bentekkers is the best striker in the Prem for every kind of challenge. Costa MIGHT be equal only if he's fit more often and scores more goals, but Benteke is as good as it gets for the Prem. forget Aguero in the air. Number two is probably down to Kane and Costa and Kane looks better in the air.

similar lineup to this season, but with one CM added, one forward with a strong, accurate shot+strength and pace, and one fullback who adds to the attack. Those FBs at Porto are pretty good, esp. the LB. Rodriguez is still a good one but Wolfsburg probably do not sell their players now.

congratulations, CFC! The wait for the trophy presentation looks absurd through the eyes of the global fan. Why wait? I feel like Willian will kill that lion any matchday now.

Who is the Most Handsome Player in Our Squad?
quickpassnmove replied to Myself's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
tops: Hazard and Ramires. in the league: an ogre by the name of "Charlie" is a damn fine sight. -
I couldn't care less on this player. There ARE other excellent players in central MF in the world. For the sake of the sport and the current generation, I hope there's another player close to Pogba's caliber. Hopefully RLC becomes one for us.

7 matches to go and I'm thinking that the pundits will be wrong. Chelsea falling from number one beginning next match. good luck. Happy springtime.

Lovely. Another year, another ugly shirt and I don't feel any compulsion to buy one. that works.

Put Robbie Brady or Aluko on Branislav and see what happens. this might be fun.
-
I was about read a novel, then Remy came on. Now I'm wondering if Branislav can give Hull another goal. should I watch?

after more than seven years of watching Chelsea largely play too slow and look like an over-priced side that doesn't often impress neutral fans nor many Chelsea fans --regardless of the trophies, plenty of criticism is justified. people expect more. Ruben Loftus-Cheek is more than just a player to many fans and that feeling runs right up against everything else happening at the club --including the status of Mourinho's second term as manager. Understandable if the manager doesn't use him much this season (as I've sad before), but people will question the manager and the club if such a talented player sits on the bench while other players have been used too much or backup players don't offer something better. Next season and the summer window should be the time we find out about Chelsea's future, RLC's future, Mourinho's next contract (yes/no), etc. Getting rid of F. Torres and David Luiz represented real progress for CFC. I'm waiting for the next step and to see Chelsea play with tempo while having depth and the ability to slowly integrate new and young players into side that can play at high speed or slow the match down, and score from anywhere.

why do you need to post this? expressing yourself as an unhappy fan is fine whether you're male, female, or extra-terrestrial.

interesting. even more interesting would be interviewing a number of people with autism who play team sports and compiling accounts of those interviews into a documentary.

Ask who is better when they're both around 28-29 years old. Kevin will probably never do as much on a dribble, but Kevin has more velocity and whip on his balls, plus a much better strike. Six or seven months from now will be a good time to discuss Mourinho.

I typically don't want to watch any of the teams in the EPL now. Tottenham have a pretty damn good manager IMO and so do Soton. Crystal Palace can be fun to watch and this weekend I recorded the Aston Villa match because I suspected they would pick up their form. But, the league is boring right now. I don't care to watch most of the clubs, nor many of the matches. The gameplay has become more negative with the exception of the attacking from sides like ManCity and Liverpool (who were always enjoyable to watch through the years if someone were a fan IMO. Above all of this, I think, is the generation and era of football we are seeing: improved defending, an emphasis on defending, better defenders while the talented players can spend too much time on the ball instead of moving it quickly through passing. Also, I don't rate this generation of footballers nearly as highly as the previous two generations AND, there either aren't many strong centre forwards, or every one of them is getting dominated by defenders (or falling off of bar stools like Andy Carroll?). I find myself less interested in football now more than ever, but I will watch Villareal, Valencia, Sevilla sometimes with a little bit of excitement. I just don't feel it much anymore. and the English League's management and player combinations along with the league play itself is making for an awfully boring mix of matches week after week. Credit to Arsenal for scoring three goals yesterday. I just wonder why the hell they ever bought Oezil. such a turd.

Diego Costa - still hot or not?
quickpassnmove replied to Chelsky Boy Luke's topic in Chelsea Articles
I think more will need to be shaken up next season. just a hunch. -
If you never try to play quick, you probably never learn to play quick. If Chelsea are too slow the rest of the season, then Chelsea can lose the title. For me, I can't see the next Mourinho contract being signed until next season. If we are supposed to overlook the quality of play this season and everything rests on the title, then next season is surely time for experimentation in faster conuterattacks and build-up play. If it never comes, I think Jose is gone again. Simples.

He's another one who hasn't adapted to colder+damp weather --maybe. We'll see in the coming season(s). Hasn't seemed to be in the right spot for counterattacks on numerous occasions during the colder months and continues to win very little in the air. Just not good enough from him for a while now. Chelsea should have been using another striker and/or lineup recently IMO. Next season will be more interesting with Costa's 2nd Chelsea year and maybe Oscar leaving, maybe another striker coming in. -
maybe the constraints come off at Chelsea next season and our side will be free to develop more. this is what I've been hoping for since Mourinho returned; just waiting to get the trophy/trophies out of the way, fulfill someone's or some peoples' expectations and MOVE ON afterward. I have to wonder whether Oscar leaving and someone like Salah or another player coming into central attacking role will be an improvement or if Chelsea just need to generally loosen-up, play with more speed and having a Plan B formation will do the trick. I'm itching to see RLC on the pitch too. Lastly, I like seeing Juve get beaten and I'm happy for Salah there.
-
doesn't matter either way for Chelsea except that Chelsea do need more people who shoot and score in the future. money or the player back in London... either way. Jose's PL side might not be his place.
-
Thibault gets MotM, Hazard and Ramires good match. Costa and Oscar aren't doing it for me at all. I don't see why Drogba and Remy aren't playing instead. At least Costa isn't doing enough, so you might as well just put Remy on with Oscar and use Drogba or RLC as a sub.

THIS IS AN F-ING FOOTBALL MATCH! THIS FEELS SO GOOD! Been tired of the Premier League lately and watching more La Liga. Finally, today, we have a cracking match in East *London! Love this!
-
Now all we need is the stadium expansion, Mikel out, some quicker interplay on attacks, a new fullback and one more solid centre mid.
-
It's not a surprise that someone leaves Chelsea and performs very well. Chelsea play too slow.
-
I think you and Paris will be shocked. Should be a good one. Di-e-go Costa!!!
