    • Shouldn’t have been loaned in the first place. Given how Disasi, Tosin and even Colwill have struggled, this looks stupider and stupider.  I mean Trev isn’t Maldini or Nesta, don’t get me wrong but he made a big difference when he played last year I felt. Yes he may never be the sort of elite level CB to lead a title winning teams defence but he should of been retained over Disasi and definitely Tosin who for me was always a pathetic signing free or not. For sure. Given he has also pla
    • If he cant get a game ahead of Disasi or Tosin then we should be seriously worried. He may be a bit raw and physically not that well developed but surely cant be as bad as those two.  The worst of it is I think Tosin is worse than Disasi - which I thought was near impossible. Fulham can have him back for free.
    • For what he cost, wages, games he played, games he missed, long term injuries he has accumulated over this period time…. He has to go. We really do have to be ruthless. Like with Kante, Mount, Koulibaly, Werner, Sterling, even Gallagher. Various reasons for some of those guys but still, the same ruthless approach has to he considered. 70M and only 35 games or so over what 3 seasons? Hes now 24. Need to really take a look at it and think is he gonna be worth the hassle?

    • Chelsea will not be able to recall defender Trevoh Chalobah to ease their defensive injury issues. The 25-year-old’s season-long loan spell at Crystal Palace does not have a break clause. via@SJohnsonSport
    • If VVD is available on a free then offering him a couple of years on stupid money would surely be a bit tempting, even at his age, after the positive experience we had with Thiago.
    • Oh dear - if he is out for the season that is pretty terrible for us. I haven't really spoken about it but I actually really rate Wes, he has come back and clearly been rusty and to my eyes, plays a bit like he doesn't fully trust his body. I was starting to get quietly excited that maybe he was finally going to turn a corner with this one game a week approach. Gutted if he is out for the season and think we are pretty terrible without Wes, and have no obvious alternative to him - the way h
    • yeah and who would take these players on high wages now? Nothing to be done with James, of course, but Fofana was hardly a surprise.

    • 🚨🔵 Enzo Maresca: “For sure, Fofana and Badiashile will be out for a long time so we'll see what we decide to do on the market”. 🤔
    • I feel like time is running out for a number of these broken goods. There's no point having players on high wages who can't even be relied on for three games straight (James is part of that discussion).
    • With players like Lavia, Fofana, and James, I'd imagine the premiums to have them covered would be so expensive the cost/benefit ratio wouldn't matter. Insurance companies are a business at the end of the day and they assess risk.   Club will be burdened by them regardless.
