I’ve watched Younes for many years but had to unfollow him because he is so relentlessly negative about everything. It has gotten a bit tiring. All the other big Chelsea YouTubers have been rightly critical of how things have gone but they can at least acknowledge the positive things too. Younes just always projects the worst possible outlook on everything.

Ego having signed for a big club at such an age. Probably still thinks he's a big fish.

🗯🔵River Plate reached the 2026 Apertura Tournament grand final by defeating Rosario Central in the semifinals on May 16. CFC midfielder Kendry Páez (19) was omitted from the squad for the match, his 2nd consecutive absence after being left out against Gimnasia La Plata. ❌️He really does have an attitude problem and it’s ruining his career!!!

At least they could be people who know nothing and have the sense to stay away from football matters.

This is some Athletic writer's fantasy. I'm fairly sure there will at least be one new GK in the squad

Sums up how I feel about this appointment.

I will give it a rest when this clubs starts repaying my faith of 40 years in it and starts producing and not employing fucking halfwits and buying shite footballers. Cheers

He literally is a shadow off himself. He shows neat touches and turns here and there but is no way near a threat to the opposition anymore. It has got to a point now that where we have big games, I see him more as a player to make up the numbers than make an actual difference. Even in games where we were very defensive in past, Hazard would still provide a very genuine threat when he got the ball. Palmer, does not have the physical prowess, pace or dribbling ability to make the same impact. There was a few times yesterday where I noticed even the other players did not pass to him in attacking phases when we had the ball and I wonder if they lost faith themselves, because I know when Hazard was playing, we are always passing the ball to him at every opportunity.

The bet is the best we could have hoped for, but it’s pointless if the club makes the same mistakes in the transfer market. By the end of the summer we’ll already have a better idea of what next season will look like.

starts badly

Let's hope we do business before the WC like then. With even more countries present, you can imagine fees are going to skyrocket if we aren't fast but also smart about who we want to bring in. Saying that, Alonso doesn't join till 1st July, so...
-
If we can't get an EL place, it would be in our benefit to miss out completely.
-
This is the issue with the form V class saying. It's looking more & more like his purple patch lasted longer than most, but aside from the CWC final, he has been a shadow of the player who joined for well over a year now. Tbh, he will be VERY lucky to be in with a sniff of a WC place.

Slightly surprised. I thought Fabregas would have been the name considering his connection with the club. At least that's some positive new after how bad things have been this year.
-
I'm hoping they are as serious with the player upgrades All the early signs are the experiment is over.
-
Top class, finally someone most of us can get behind.

It took many years but this is the best appointment that Blue Co has made. Owners don't know nothing about footbal, but can this be a sign that they are willing to change and learn? Well let's wait and see how we are doing after one season, because Liam got 6 years and got sack in less then 6 months.
-
I said it last year where it would have made a change and I still feel the same. Number one priority for me is Defense. Our attackers I feel like they down tool ala Mourinho second season where they played bad and then as soon as he sack they come back and win the title next season. Not saying we will win but these guy ain't bad, no way this same lot that beat PSG and then Barcelona go to crap all of a sudden. It was a clear revolt after the Maresca sacking. That being said I still believe that if we get some good defense we are back just like United this season, abysmal and now return with a force. Same will happen to us if we fix this issue asap this summer. In the end I still don't like these owners, I'm blue co out, but I have to give it to them in picking Alonso. It shows that they are willing to change and we need see this sustain this summer with defense being number one priority for me. Anything else is a a plus.

The Next Manager?

Yeah I agree, that's kind of what I mean. I'm afraid Chelseas board are dumb enough to do the same though. But I pray not. -
I’m not sure we can call Madrid a failure and if we do it was more a failure from the club to back him, he wanted to drop players, the players rebelled and the club backed the players. The fact he wanted to drop them in the first place means he is more than capable of making big decisions

The Next Manager?

Always was one of the very few Liverpool players I liked. Real Madrid is a very different beast to everything else, but hope he can get out dressing room full of malignant cunts under control, which he failed to in Spain. There's no way he doesn't have a big name out there still, despite of the failed madrid adventures. What he did at Leverkusen was quite something. So I guess a lot of promises were made to him. That he will finally be allowed to fix the blatant issues in the squad, that Maresca wasn't allowed to. Hoping for the best, but with the clowns in charge of the club I'm expecting it to turn sour a year into his time at the club -
This is a “we’ve finally seen the error in our ways and stopped fucking around” appointment which is what the club have been briefing for a few weeks. You have to hand them that even if we hate them. But the managerial appointment alone is not the cure that turns us around like the snap of your fingers. They now have to follow-up on their other press briefing thag they will let the manager dictate what and who he needs rather than the club forcing mediocre bums on him. We need a surgical, 2014 like summer where we quickly and clearly identified a few top level players who plugged right in and hit the ground running instantly.
