🔵🗯Yesterday evening, something from January was clarified: - Chelsea's contract offer to Semenyo for the total base salary was in line with the other offers. - The main difference was that City's bonuses were twice as high as those of all other clubs. - Bournemouth accepted the basic terms of four offers (from us, City, Liverpool, and Man United). - The decision was entirely up to the player, who chose City because he believed he had the best chance of winning titles there. Yes. Had Palmer not gotten injured and had carried on the form he was in he would’ve been a £150m+ player if he were on the market. But yeah, Rogers WILL be a £100m but I’m not sure he’s actually worth that YET. Being English, being PL proven, already being at a big club, and being a player his club will be very reluctant to sell. All of that means they’re going to probably want at least Declan Rice money unless their PSR situation is dire again.

we have such an extraordinarily interesting group of ex Chels players to draw upon so diverse in all aspects cheers
-
I would say that £100m is the price for these players now though. And probably a fee we will struggle to pay. Would hate to see what a genuine world class attacking player would cost, depending on age, could be talking £150-175m.
-
Get them both in.
-
In order for us to get Morgan Rogers a bunch of things have to go our way. We have to get UCL football whilst Villa don’t, we have to hope no other big PL clubs are after him, and we almost certainly have to be willing to spend £100m on a player again plus big wages. Personally can’t see all of that aligning. If one of the Manchester clubs go in for him I don’t think we’d have a chance because of the wages they’d offer. But tbh, as much as I like Rogers and think he’s going to continue to be very good, I don’t really see a £100m, “he’s one of the best attackers in the world” level player there. Just looking at the current top English AM’s, he doesn’t feel on Palmer’s or Bellingham’s level when they’re in form. Again, very good player, but not truly world class.

👀Morgan Rogers is the name I keep hearing. 👌Chelsea are keeping a close on Valentin Barco. (@JacobsBen)

He can, yes. I read that Denner is moving to Strasbourg in the summer because Chilwell wants to return to England and most likely will. Denner would play as the regular left-back at Strasbourg.
-
Can Denner play further forward? With Cucurella and Hato established for LB it doesn't seem likely that there will be enough opportunities in that position to make it sensible to keep him at Cobham. Unless it's thought he could get minutes elsewhere on the pitch. All in all, he is surely set for a loan to Strasbourg or elsewhere isn't he?
-
Nothing to do with ‘blocking pathways’ They have spent all the money and are in arrears

🔵🗯Speaking to sources, I sense that Rosenior feels that Jorgensen is the one that is more comfortable coming out of his box more often. Within Chelsea, I don't think they feel there is a lot of difference between Jorgensen and Sanchez. Whoever starts in the next league game will be interesting. The arrival of Mike Penders in the summer could also complicate the goalkeeping situation. (@JacobsBen) 👀💥It feels like Chelsea's mass recruitment will start to slow down, starting from the summer. I don't think there will be loads of signings. Chelsea will be thinking about not blocking pathways and who they could also bring from Racing Strasbourg. ✅️Quenda, Anselmino, Penders, Satpaev, Emegha and Denner are also arriving. (@JacobsBen)

Salomon Kalou Exclusive: Abramovich’s Secret House, Drogba’s Ferrari & THAT Ballack Punch-Up - The Obi One Podcast John Obi Mikel and Salomon Kalou have had a brotherly bond since their days together at Chelsea. And that unique friendship is on display here as the two men reunite for a candid and, at times, hilarious jaunt down memory lane. Here, Kalou recounts the lengths José Mourinho went to scout him in person at Feyenoord, his first meeting with Roman Abramovich at a place where ‘everyone signed on the dotted line’ and why he wasn’t so keen on Didier Drogba’s expensive Ferrari! Mikel can’t resist teasing his friend over one of the more unique hairstyles we’ve seen in the Premier League, and why he always had to have a stocked fridge! Kalou also finally reveals what really happened between himself and Michael Ballack that led to their infamous training ground dust-up. Settle in for this one, as two Chelsea greats chew the fat about the glory days on the pitch, and the mad times off it.

Liam Rosenior pre-match press conference | Wrexham v Chelsea | FA Cup Pre-match press conference with Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior ahead of Wrexham v Chelsea in the FA Cup fifth round. Chelsea head into the tie after a 4-1 Premier League win away to Aston Villa, with João Pedro scoring a hat-trick and Cole Palmer also on target at Villa Park. Rosenior confirms Roméo Lavia will feature against Wrexham, while Estêvão Willian is back on the pitch but not ready yet and Jamie Gittens is also still not available. He also says there were no fresh injuries from the Aston Villa game. So I’m guessing the midfield will probably be Lavia + Santos. Rest Caicedo and Enzo from the start so they’re as fresh as possible for PSG. Hopefully Sarr starts at the back. And if Delap can’t put in a good performance against another lower league side then yikes. Surprised to hear Gittens is just about back. I thought he was done for the season with a torn hamstring?
-
Estevao is back on the grass but won't feature in this, Lavia is fit and ready to play a part in this No other new injuries

🗯💥Chelsea sporting director Paul Winstanley and Bournemouth's president of football operations Tiago Pinto are also believed to be on Spurs' radar. (@SamiMokbel_BBC)

This will be a great game this, I cannot wait for it. Wrexham are excellent and play some great football, we will need to be really switched on to win this. I think it will be 3-2 us
