  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah, I’d be fine with either of these two. I would feel straight away that were in solid hands but then it comes down to whether the ownership will provide the new manager with the player HE asks for and they don’t continue to just force players upon them like Garnacho because some scout or sporting director is obsessed with him.
  3. That is an issue of no manager stability. Everyone new that comes in will go the safer route and go with older players and what not.
  4. Today
  5. Leaves Alonso and Iraola as the only real options for me. I'm leaning towards Iraola because of league experience but Alonso and his coaching team seem level headed, smart too. They will both prioritize making the squad be better at pressing, running and after having watched a season where our team has been outrun every single game, it would be welcome. Will need a big turnover of the squad too as many mediocre players have just settled in and around the first team here.
  6. I remember being open to Xavi when his name was in the mix before we appointed Maresca. But he’s been out of work for what, 3 years now? He would be a massive risk at this time when we need someone as close to a sure thing as we can get. The new manager will be taking over a club in absolute crisis. Appointing someone like Xavi could be disastrous.
  7. ‘Chelsea have made significant progress in installing a football identity’ Huh!!! 🫤🤔😐
  8. Fake narrative? I’m sorry, but there’s things that some people say that really grind me. It’s absolutely NOT…View the full article
  9. 🗯🔵BREAKING: Xavi Hernandez is under consideration by Chelsea to be their next manager! Managers in conversation at Chelsea: ▪︎ Xavi Hernandez ▪︎ Xabi Alonso ▪︎ Francesco Farioli ▪︎ Cesc Fabregas (not expected to leave Como) Andoni Iraola is appreciated, but Chelsea will have to weigh up if they want to change approach. “The club have made significant progress in instilling a football identity that is visible in the academy, and that one of the values of Maresca was his teams typified this approach. Chelsea consequently want to persevere with a coach of similar principles.” (@MiguelDelaney)
  10. The games are probably catching up to Caicedo at this point in the season. Same with Neto & Pedro. With Enzo and Cucu, they're just waiting for La Liga moves. As for Palmer, he really is a bang average player without penalties. Josh, Hato & Sarr must be sitting around thinking why they are at the club after watching Tosin - Chalobah and Gusto get starts.
  11. Eghbali is going nowhere anytime soon and arguably he’s the biggest issue now. It appears he is calling the shots, hired the sporting directors etc. Boehly won’t be chairman from next year if I remember correctly, could possibly be bought out by Eghbali/Clearlake.
  12. Glazers is an example. There's not much power fans have but protests over a prolonged period, refusing to buy club merchandise, go to games and hopefully they just decide to sell the club or at the least fire Boehly/Eghbali
  13. The hilarious thing is these numpties were holding out on securing a long-term shirt sponsor in hopes of better deal, and now have risked not finishing in any of the European spots. What was old Eghbali's astute assessment again? "Chelsea were quite frankly an asset, not terribly well managed on the football, sporting or promotional side" Someone should put those words on a banner and hold it aloft in the stadium.

  15. They won’t change shit because of the fans though. Lets be real. Look at how well thats worked out for the Strasbourg fans, they’ve done a lot more protesting and shown discontent over a much longer, prolonged period than we have and nothing has changed there. At all. BlueCo don’t care. Attendances probably will have to start dropping by a huge number constantly for a prolonged period to make any sort of difference to these. But it won’t be noticed due to the change in atmosphere, it will be noticed due to loss of match day money. Even then, Boehly & Eghbali will just keep flogging tickets to tourists at hugely inflated prices as they have been. Fans not going to games & renewing season tickets may sound extreme but it is the only way to show these IMO. Can boo/whistle/whatever but they are ruthless billionaires who probably don’t care what people think of them as it is.
  16. The only difference between Cucurella and Cinderella are the letters He was shite today, along with them all. I keep saying it and will continue to do so, need to buy experience, quality keeper, quality CB, top class CF and a LW.
  17. Pedro did a Pele in Escape to Victory wonder goal and Colwill came out of his first game of the season unscathed. About the limit of anything positive from that shit show. none of the starting back 4 should start again this season.
  18. Chelsea have always been very successful in terms of player sales, which have generated far more money for the club than ticket sales over the last decade. ''The 22 Holdco business model is similar to that of a hedge fund in that signing young players on long-term contracts can be very profitable and reduces the chances of players leaving on a Bosman deal for no fee. '' Now that model is pretty well fucked, and everything is threatened, even attracting a new high-profile manager, without Champions League football.
  19. Yeah from fighting for their lives to confidence, and now maybe reversed positions West Ham 22 Holdco 😉
  20. Way we are going they'll probably turn their back a lot sooner!! Wouldn't surprise me if Spurs spring a surprise..
  21. Utd players have been praising Carrick, saying he has learned from Ferguson, and is bringing that Ferguson magic to training and tactics Cant imagine any of our lot said that about Liam 🤪- last time we heard anything like that was when they praised Tuchel
  22. Not A Project CFC, the protest group, are planning two further protests. The first will take place on the steps of Wembley Way before the FA Cup final against Manchester City. A second protest to take place inside Stamford Bridge, where fans are asked to turn their backs in the 22nd minute of the final home game vs Sp*rs
  23. But there has to be a will to do it. ie are the venture capitalists really that interested in team success ? If not the rot from the top will remain, no matter what Directors of football they appoint, puppets that are constrained by AI and cashflows. PL and Championship are littered with billionaire owners quite content to drive at 50 in the middle lane as long as they add to their fortunes. If they have the will for success, like the custodians of Liverpool, Utd, Citeh, where the penny finally dropped that you need to get a good manager in, trust him, and give him the autonomy to get on with it - that would be a start
  24. So so true, the owners are idiots but these supposed sporting directors who should know about football are top garbage and Eghbali is naive and stupid to believe them in anything they do. Fucking morons all 5.
