Stamford Bridge Thread

Just heard a bit more on this.

There's 3 options of moving out. 1 of them will be very controversial, but makes a lot of sense at the same time.

1. Twickenham - Seems the least likely of the 3 at the minute, but the option is there.

2. Wembley - We'd only get 50k seats whilst we're here, but more likely to happen than Twickenham

3. Boleyn Ground - They're hoping to redevelop the stadium into housing when West Ham move out and have this open by 2018 (We're hoping to move 2017/2018 season), so this will take a lot of persuading with the group that have brought it, but money towards the project will go a long way.

Obviously as fans we hate the prospect of moving to the old homes of one of our rivals from East London, but the club are looking at this option for the best. If we move to Twickenham or Wembley 70+% of the staff will have to be made redundant, whereas the majority of them will keep their jobs if we move here.

There'll apparently be an official statement made with decisions and designs in September, so we'll have to wait and see.

Why only 50k at wembley?

Why only 50k at wembley?

There will be regulations such as local resident issues etc ...Twickenham will have similar regulations with the amount of 'live' events that can be held there.

With reference to the above and West Ham ground.....there was also a rumour that they could be approached about the Olympic stadium share possibilities or the occasional match to tie in with Wembley and Twickers

Plus they're over double the size.

Awesome work as always WHS.

doesnt make sense.

If you are saying the fact they are bigger means there are more staff, surely that means 70% of SB wouldnt lose jobs.

What he meant was that stadiums like Wembley, Twickers are already staffed and West Hams bolyn ground wouldnt be staffed by then

The question was why would we need more staff at Wembley to UP.

Not why would the SB staff be made redundant.
