warnie_666 1,081
Of course they will get away with it, Eden Hazard is testament to that.FFP is a joke, the criminal Etihad deal is proof of that. All City have to do is prove they are investing in the community, and show UEFA a 'trend' (< key word) towards breaking even by 2014-15. Even if the losses have not been sufficiently staunched. That still doesnt answer my question. You have been going on and on about the Etihad Deal. But They still showed losses of 130m while we shoed losses of 67m. And if FFP is a joke, I am sure Chelsea can work around it just as City. You talk about Etihad deal everywhere but the Fact is You have a rats ass knowledge about what that deal is and why it didnt reduce their losses substantially.Again, Kindly Explain HOW THEY INCURRED LOSSES OF 130m INSPITE OF THE ETIHAD DEAL?And If they can buy, Hazard, We are buying Hulk

We can't compete with City financially, that's why we're after Hulk. The money from the criminal Etihad deal has been invested in development programs, stadium infrastructure and 'community projects', which is exempt from FFP calculations. The 'eventual' financial benefits of such an investment can be used to offset the club's wage spend. Thus, they will not be penalised for the face value of these losses long-term, giving them the financial upper hand over us, and everyone else in the league.Sources have confirmed that Rasmussen (UEFA's FFP manager) was told not to address questions on individual clubs and specifically not to answer any question on whether City's £400m, 10-year sponsorship deal with Etihad is 'legal' or not under FFP rules. Some critics of City's owner, Sheik Mansour, who is spending vast sums on the team and a range of regeneration and community projects, argue Etihad is a 'related party' and the £400m was inflated above a market rate deal to help City meet the FFP strictures. Surely we cannot spend 100m on transfers but Hulk is not exactly an inferior player. He has played in Europa League and has been a goal scoring Winger Striker. a Bit like Ronaldo'esque. So it IS EXEMPT from FFP Calculations. Thank You. I dont care about the "Eventual" benefits. Eventual could be 10 years later. bloody and capriccioso
capriccioso 2,545
Really, everyone will copy them with the Etihad deal. We'll soon be sponsored by Sibneft or Gazprom or something. The Qatar Foundation deal Barcelona have is a far bigger crime than the Etihad deal. Remember how Pep Guardiola was supportive of the Qatar 2022 bid? I imagine they bribed him, promised him huge sums in sponsor money if he spoke in favour of them. And it robbed us the chance of having a decent World Cup, Qatar 2022 will be an unmitigated disaster. bloody

capriccioso 2,545
According to wiki, they're the most powerful of the lot though. You won't see Roman associating with third string Russian gangsters Alternatively, we could remove the adidas logo and put a massive CCCP, complete with hammer and sickle there. capriccioso 2,545
Oh my God, seriously, what the fuck?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/4091378/Bin-tricked.html LIVERPOOL FC bosses signed star player Stewart Downing in a £20million deal after being duped by faked footage of his footie skills. The club’s principal owner John Henry and chairman Tom Werner saw an impressive YouTube clip of the midfielder firing five consecutive footballs into wheelie bins at long range. But the training ground stunt had been doctored by marketing brains at the England star's former club, Aston Villa, as part of a viral advertising campaign.Henry and Werner logged on to the video sharing site when Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish voiced his interest in the player.Werner said: “There was some footage of Stewart where he is kicking footballs into five different trash cans. It was brilliant.“John and I said, ’Oh my god, this player is brilliant, we have to figure out a way to make a deal’.”Since joining Liverpool Downing has only scored one goal in 26 games. The clip is thought to have been the work of club media officer Nick Finney.A source said: “There is a message after it which reads, ‘Seeing is believing’ which we thought was a giveaway. Obviously, it wasn't a big enough clue.
