What do we want to happen?

1) Tottenham win:- Would put Tottenham back above us by 2 points and keep Arsenal 5 behind us.

2) Draw:- would make both drop 2 points, we'd be level with Tottenham and 4 ahead of Arsenal.

3) Arsenal win:- Would mean we stay 3rd, Tottenham just 1 behind us and Arsenal just 1 behind them, would leave everything so close.

I'd rather Tottenham win. There's not much difference between coming 3rd and 4th. Ideally we need to stay as many points away from 5th as possible. 'mon you yids.

One big difference IMO. Finishing in Top 3 guarantees CL qualification into the group stage. Finish in 4th and we have to go through a play-off round. Risk getting KOed early.

Tottenham winning is also fine as it gives us a 5 point gap, however if we fuck up one week we don't have 2 teams (both of whom would have to do well to leap frog us), and instead have just the one. Arsenal winning is just terrible. Tottenham have the better team and the star player. But arsenal winning fucks us up more so that will probably happen. 2 points between 3rd and 5th isn't great. Although at least whatever happens we will be 3rd or 4th with a gap.

Spurs win. 5 point gap with ten games to go will be huge. Spurs will wobble if Gareth Bale so much as skins his knee in the park. plus we have spurs at home left.

If we finish fourth, then we do have to qualify but that might not be the worst thing in the world. We're going to have a new coach and this means we have to start playing competitive games earlier than we otherwise would. Down the line that may have ramifications but the headstart in terms of fitness and building a team might be good for us.

We still have Spurs at home as well which leaves overtaking them in our own hands to some extent.
