All the targets out there are crap anyway. It's just a matter of choosing the best from an average bunch.

Some of the rumoured targets are far from crap.

Please, do explain how we don't give managers time to turn things around. It's such an overplayed, lazy cliche. Do you realize that Conte is still in the job despite all the mess in 2018?

Only reason Conte has kept his job is because there were likely no alternatives midseason. I doubt even Guus would've come back had he been asked.

There's always alternatives, especially for a short term shot in the arm type remit, even bang average managers like Avram Grant, Tim Sherwood and (i say this with a heavy heart) Di Matteo are living proof of that!!!!

He's not worth 12 billion and even if he was you can't lose that sort of money overnight because of the UK having a diplomatic spat with Russia.

Lol think it was only haha ''only'' about £500 000 000, half a billion, because of US sanctions on Russia

Half a billion can't even rebuild a football ground in West London for that FB  might get half the job done.:)

Yes but we could have easily sacked him anyway given how bad things have been in 2018 but we have not done so. Putting this Conte situation aside, who else have we not given time to turn things around in the past? You could make a case for Ancelotti but the rest got sacked with good reasons. Am all for backing the manager to get us out of trouble if there are good reasons for it. Otherwise, you risk backing for the sake of backing and ending up with a situation like Wenger at Arsenal.

I guess you see it differently but all of our targets present high risks and I am not convinced by a single one of them at all.

I agree that it's bad news for us that Wenger is leaving when it comes to finding a new manager. As mad as it is to say, Arsenal is likely a much more attractive job than Chelsea simply because they'll surely give the new guy plenty of time. The next manager knows that he can go through an early rough patch and be given every opportunity to turn things around.

Theyll also likely be sniffing around the same names as we will be. Let us hope they do the foolish thing and get Brendan Rodgers! 😂

Who knows. Maybe if Conte finishes this season strongly and with a feel good factor he'll stay after all and we don't need a new manager.

I think arsenal is more attractive because they have arguably a better squad and maybe even more money

Or Alegri for that matter too. I really don't want to see either of those two here.

So who should we target?

I dont want Enrique, allegri is fine but we will play somewhat similar to under Conte or Mou which will be boring.

I honestly don't know what options do we have??

Given the way Conte has been behaving this season, keeping him is also a risk. Appointing him in the first place was aswell.

He had won the league twice and did quite well with Italy. None of the options mentioned have the same CV, so I don't see it being the same.

He's pretty much going to keep kicking off unless he gets a blank cheque. He did an incredible job last season, but last seasons gone.

He'll get that and more at PSG.
