I can’t even enjoy AFTV melting down much these days because of how poor we’ve been ourselves. Witnessing Arse potentially bottle the title in historic fashion would be glorious if we were sitting pretty in the UCL places without much worry.

But as for the title race, if this was the City of recent years I’d probably back them the win all their remaining matches and steal the title from Arse. Unfortunately, this isn’t that machine-like City of the past. They’ll probably drop more super silly points against small teams after completely dominating like they have multiple times this season.

Arse will grind their way to the title the rest of the season even if it’s super ugly and nervy for them.

You'd think that but in 10 days, if they manage to win their games in hand vs Chelsea and Burnley and win vs an out-of-sorts Arsenal, they're level on points

The craziest thing that isn't getting more attention is Haaland's dip in form especially in the league (putting last week aside). Thiago actually has a real chance of winning the golden boot for a Brentford side that most thought might end up being relegation candidates with all the changes last summer.

Lose tomorrow and it’s probably all she wrote. Tbh, if we don’t get UCL then I’d rather be out of Europe altogether. If we hadn’t already won the Europa League a couple of times I’d begrudgingly accept that it may be good for these young players to play in it, but for me it’ll just be a slog of extra games to far flung countries. We’re seeing right now what that kind of fixture congestion does to a squad after a long summer.

Look how massively United are benefiting from focusing solely on the PL for most of this season. That’s exactly what we need of we fail to finish top 5.
