Yup, spurs have better scorer than us. Harry kane is absolute world class. Plus son and alli can chip in goals as well

It is all on the board, we could have had Icardi for £98m in the summer, and dumped Morata for £55m to Milan (Marina said £70m or no deal)

That's only a £43m net spend for the second best CF on the planet., and we turned down a total of £620m in real hard bids (and will lose over £250m to £300m at end of day when they all walk on frees or are sold for shit)

The board is shit, until I see different I maintain my stance 100%.

I see we might sell Bats for FOURTEEN MILLION, just to further cement my opinion.

Don't get me wrong. I was worried the moment they sacked Jose. This United team was underperforming big time, the moment Jose shackled is off they will go on a run

Yeah. I thought they'd start winning but maybe not as many. Then again we've dropped stupid points to let them in.

Don't wana a exciting top 4 race. Want us to get it. Job done. If we don't.. Eek.

Problem is if Man U win we'll have to start watching them as well cause they'll be level with Arsenal.

They currently look more likely to close the gap then Arsenal are. Especially if all goes wrong next weekend. Arsenal going through a moment whereas Man U for now anyway have come out of theirs

Hopefully a draw.. Either win for either side isn't good. Only ourselves to blame we were above at one stage. So annoying.

Spurs lost and I am happy. Kane possibly injured now too and they have CL. It defo suits us that Spurs lost. United are still 6 points behind us. We have a team we should beat comfortably in the EL while Spurs have a game that can go either way and have to play their best team. Fatigue hopefully will lie in. 2 points behind them and 6 points above Arsenal and United. Couldn't asked for anything better.

Lets hope it stays that way. If we can get a run finally going carrying on with next week all is good. If not... Who knows.  Just annoying that they're in with a shot and their fans are now talking about the possibility of top 4 of at least trying all because we've thrown away silly points.

I'm not sure what is worse, thinking about Liverpool possibly wiing the league or reading the fucking massive love in for Man United after yesterday.

The media couldn't be any further up their arse

This is why we can't fuck up. Imagine. Liverpool winning league and Man U going from nothing to finishing top 4.

CIES Football Observatory

n°246 - 14/01/2019

Performance

Manchester City favourites for Premier League title

http://www.football-observatory.com/IMG/sites/b5wp/2018/246/en/

Issue number 246 of the CIES Football Observatory Weekly Post analyses the pitch production of big-5 league clubs during the first part of the current season to highlight if they have over- or under-performed in terms of points achieved. The findings suggest that Manchester City will beat Liverpool in the English Premier League title race.

Manchester City achieved so far 5% of points per match less than expected according to its pitch production. Conversely, Liverpool obtained 15% more and its results are supposed to decline in the second part of the season. The over- or under-performance were calculated according to a regression model built on the 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons including shots on target, ball possession and shots conceded from the box. The data comes from the specialist company InStat.

In the other big-5 leagues, the pitch production of three out of four teams at the top of the table should allow them to lift the trophy: Barcelona in Spain, Juventus in Italy and Paris St-Germain in France. However, in Germany, the analysis suggests that Bayern Munich will outrank the current leader Borussia Dortmund. The data for 27 further European competitions are available on demand. More data is also accessible in the exclusive CIES Football Observatory Performance Atlas.
