Nike 373
Still don't understand why Hart is our number 1 keeper, Forster is head and shoulders better than Hart lol. Goes to show favoritism in the English team.Hart plays for City thats why....

Atlas Lion 1,223
Right.Messi's been performing at this level for almost half a decade now, banging up more goals than appearances, 71 goals in a season and 91 goals in a calender year. Just because this is Aguero's first season where he is matching Messi' numbers, considering Messi is playing in a much deeper role now for Barca, doesn't automatically lable Aguero near Messi's level without rational deliberating. It's nonsense, , just as how they stated Suarez wasn't too far behind Messi or Ronaldo. They have been world class for ages and banging goals left and right and just because Suarez has ONE season where he shows upmost quality doesn't give him nor Aguero the right to be in the same breath as them until they both do it consistently. talk about maradona more.....You mean Messi will never be on Ronaldo's level. Consistency is overrated. When your team revolves around you, of course your stats will be consistent, unless you pull off a ronaldinho and dont care about winning anymore. Aguero has always been a consistent striker in club level. Suarez scored 1 less goal the season prior.........

Aguero has always been a consistent striker in club level. Way to yet again miss the point entirely. No surprise though. I wasn't speaking of his form at club level when talking about his consistency, its the fact some feel he is near Messi's level just because he is matching his numbers this season and ONLY this season when Messi has been doing this for half a decade. If he wants to be near his level, he would have to perform at this level every season and increase his overall style of play, scoring and producing goals of high numbers. Way to yet miss the point entirely. No surprise though.Aguero has always been a consistent player. Got too much slack for the world cup showing and suarez was always a great player at ajax. When he first got to liverpool, maybe you forgot they had a big signing in the name of andy carroll. Their most expensive signing at the time. Suarez had to be patient at liverpool. In the world cup for both 2010 and 2014, suarez lit up the stage both times. Maybe the fact that xavi and iniesta declined really shows that messi wasnt the primary reason why they won all those TEAM ACCOLADES during their peak...And if you think Messi will retire at barcelona, than your crazy.. NO WAY IN hell are they going to let their investment in neymar and suarez go up in dust like that.
Tomo 21,751
The excuses people make to try and downplay Messi is hilarious. It's like a complete reversal from the people that try to say Torres is back when he finally doesn't concede a turnover. He couldn't perform without Iniesta and Xavi apparently, both have gone off the boil and Messi guess what is still performing. Magic Lamps 11,692
Messi's toplevel is almost unreachable. In his best time from 2009-2011 he could make a goal out of nowhere. At any given setup, 5,6 defenders in front of him all no problem, dribbling past every single one + the goalkeeper. Or if he did not like to dribble he could simply work himself some space and hammer it into the corner. Every other player of this generation can only dream of that ability making a goal out of every given setup. But Messi has declined a bit and is not able to do that consistently anymore. Just as Agüero. But both (still) have the ability to score out of nothing, even though they now have to find a way how instead of simply chosing one. That is what I meant with level. And it is not true that no one can reach their level NOW. Discount penalties and Suarez scored more than both last season. And he did it in the EPL. Maybe no one, esp no one from the EPL, can reach that consistency, but during given seasons, there can be players who temporarily reached or even exceeded their level. Suarez last season for example Muzchap

Yeah, totally, consistency is overrated, the real challenge is to have one or two great seasons and then turn wank again. Magic Lamps 11,692
Long way to go mate, 6 points with 24 matches to go means nothing really. They are on fire and they have a pretty easy schedule ahead, too.Sure, but that means nothing if we don't slip up. And they still have to come to Stamford Bridge. Sure City out of the COC and probably will be out of the CL soon, whilst we have still to play in all Comps. But our squad is good enough to not slip up more often than City. And if we pick up injuries, we should be able to replace them by making some spontaneous signings or recalling players.

When the team revolves around you, your stats will be consistent....Its when the team doesnt revolve around you... Messi has had barcelona revolve around him for how many seasons as did cr7... People think that players just override the system because of their consistency, not the fact the system provides players the opportunity to put up consistent stats....Kind of like how lampard was always consistent statistically for Chelsea and sucked balls for england. Can you imagine if cr7 didnt get 10 shots a game like he does for Madrid. Wait, I can.. Its called the world cup where he sucked ballz every tournament.maybe you should keep thinking that Mikel is relevant and good.
