Fabregas hasn't said he wants to stay at Barcelona either - does that mean he will sign for us?

The majority of people have forgotten one simple but very telling FACT. The only thing Rooney has come out and said is that he did NOT ask to leave officially or hand in a transfer request. When the media get the slightest glimpse of something like this they get the ball and run with it. They are so good at it now that they make us so confused we don't know what to believe. All you have to do is try and look at the facts. Rooney was very annoyed about this whole affair and even worried about what United fans will think. Is this the thinking of a guy who will leave the club? I don't think so.

He only stayed in 2010 because of them fucking gangs outside his house with balaclavas and threatening him. If that hadn't happened I'd bet my house he would have joined City. When the transfer request story got denied, I never seen any quotes attributed to Rooney, just articles. Hardly "fact" (although there could be quotes somewhere on the web)

Right think of this then, let's say he wanted to stay the whole time, and sees all these reports that he wants to go, is determined to leave, wants to play for Chelsea, has a agreement in priniciple, and thinks "these are all bullshit" why isn't he, or his reps denying it. Because there is nothing to deny, he has been silent. I find it hard to imagine Fergie, the most respected manager in the world, telling a barefaced lie about him wanting to leave.

Now me, if my manager lied about me wanting to leave, or the press made up rumours about me, I'd be looking to sue the shit out of the tabloid, and I'd be asking my boss for an apology... I see neither. I have forgotten the journos name (may have been paul hayward), but I remember him saying few weeks back it is crazy how much info the press are being given from Rooneys camp, he was one of the ones who had access to the info. This will all boil down until deadline day, when a mega bid will go in

If he wanted to stay, why hasn't he come out and immediately rubbished it on twitter or his official site? He released a statement before doing just that.

The only statement he released, even after the transfer request story from Fergie, was one saying about the Nike thing on his twitter. Sounds like a guy desperate to set the record straight, eh

Mate spot on with that post ..personally I hope it doesnt boil down to deadline day , I reckon 1 week after the Rio testimonial we will have a very clear picture on whether he will be staying at utd.

You're just ignoring what I've said. There is nothing to answer if he has not asked to leave - what is so hard about it? Why would he ask to leave, and then deny it when found out? It makes no sense. It all points to him telling the truth. And you will find he did request Moyes to make it clear he did not ask to leave. I'm not even a Rooney fan, I'm just looking at this with a level head.

I'm bewildered how many of you think this is on though. The press are owning you all.

so deny it!! This is what we are saying, if he has not asked to leave like the press bang on about deny it! Or get a rep to deny it. He hasn't So basically then, on worldwide TV in an interview after Swansea game, just as your about to life the title, Fergie lied through his teeth? Nice one. You have people who report for Manchester Utd, that Andy Mitten or whatever chairman of some Utd fan thingy, all saying they've been told he wants to go. And this bollocks about seeing what the fans react like first? Behave, as if that'll make a difference

The only stories about the denial of a transfer request are non quoted.

"However when asked if Rooney wanted to leave Manchester United, manager David Moyes refused to deny this"

Not once in his unveiling did Moyes say "Wayne has told me he does not want to leave Manchester United"

I'm amazed how many Utd fans think you'll get Fabregas and Ronaldo this window

Think of like I said previously.

If I played for Chelsea for example, do not want to leave, leaving has never crossed my mind. Yet almost everyday I am seeing stories about me telling the board I want to go, and want to go and play for Man City/Utd, and and determined to get out, I wouldn't be letting them pass me by. I'd be straight on blower to my lawyer, and straight on my twitter saying "Ignore tabloids, I have never asked to leave, I want to stay!!"

Silence is deafening eh, Wayne?

I still think this will happen! But only after the Man Utd - Chelsea game.

Why he would stay there, if he has a chance to join us?
I mean what Moyes said about his position in the team... and if I'm right, their relation never was good, after Rooney left the Everton.

Mourinho declared his admiration which is a very flattering thing for a player.

We have the one of the most exciting squad in the UK, and in the World.

He could be main striker here, which is his favourite position.

SAF left, United loosed their attraction. Their squad is getting worse year by year. (In my opinion!!)

He can earn load of money here.

So maybe I'm wrong, but I can't see him in United on 2nd September. I think the club loyalty is not so important for him, to stay there.

It's going to be a painful end of the window for us both to be honest. I will say it's not 100% in my mind he won't go, but it is 99%. You can hang on to that glimmer of hope - yet it won't change the fact he has said nothing official about wanting to leave. It's getting near the end of the window and it's surely the time for some noise if he really wants out.

Moyes didn't make any statement that is correct, however he was asked to. If I was Moyes I couldn't make the statement either because who knows what was actually said in that conversation between Rooney and Fergie. It wasn't really his place. So I can understand him saying nothing. The biggest indicator has to be no movement by Rooney.

I think you'll get a "big" name, which then leads to Rooney going. After we play you, it'll pick up pace dramatically i reckon. I said before, wouldn surprise me if he misses game through a "knock"

Obviously everything I have said re.Rooney and denials now means he denies it tomorrow. (not that i believe the daily star anyway)

I'd take that if the signing was Fabregas, but I just can't get my head around it being a reality. Neither transfer will happen for me. We'll probably end up signing Fellaini.

Rooney has already played for us again, and scored (or got two assists) one or the other, different sites say different things..Unhappy? Hmm.

Well happy or not, he has to play technically. He is employed by Utd. Case in note Suarez, still playing and cant wait to rid himself of scouse land

if he would've wanted the transfer he would've refused to play, same as Bale. seems like he isnt prepared to do everyhting possible to get the transfer.

Why does every transfer saga have to be so dramatic?

Bale is not Wayne ; Tottenham isn't Manc United ; Real madrid isn't Chelsea.

We all remember Levy was a cunt to Modric and how difficult of a manager Villas Boas can be when you don't agree with him (cf. Alex and Anelka), I guess maybe it is the only solution for tottenham players who want out to act so cunty. Fighting fire with fire...

If Rooney ever comes, I'll be glad he would not have had to make a fool of himself with things like going all out in the media or refusing to play and train...

Situations are different. I wouldn't draw any conclusions from such unimportant facts.

Bottom line is that the most important things happen behind closed doors.

i wouldn't post it if it wasn't correct, my mate has no reason to lie, he doesn't even support Chelsea. I'm only posting what I hear and am told mate, posting shite on forums is something I don't get a kick out of.

Your choice to believe it or not fella.
