CHOULO19 24,332
How does "We won't get a striker in Jan" translate to "Jose make Rooney his number one priority in Jan"?!! Only in British media..
Waterfall 893
How does "We won't get a striker in Jan" translate to "Jose make Rooney his number one priority in Jan"?!! Only in British media..Because managers lie which Jose himself admitted. That said, there's no doubt that there is zero leg to this rumour

Johnny Kills 164
How does "We won't get a striker in Jan" translate to "Jose make Rooney his number one priority in Jan"?!! Only in British media..How does "Rooney or bust" in July end up being Eto'o, Willian, and Atsu in August? Because shit changes and people lie. British media is horrific, but not this time. Mouri_Matic 560
£20m in the summer and £300k per week, he WILL JOIN US. Partly because he is an idiot who can't learn a new language so he won't live England, the chance of joining City is 0 considering their attacking options, that leaves us as his only option. Mouri_Matic 560
Arsenal?Never gonna pay £300k for anyone me think, not when Wenger is only on £7.5m per year imo, he is like a dictator over there.

Mouri_Matic 560
and we gonna pay 300K!?Yeah because he is a money grabbing cunt but he is worth it. He is also already on £250k per week so I think we will just have to match it or raise it a little bit to sign him.
Ainsley Harriott 2,732
and we gonna pay 300K!?I would NOT pay that to a 28 year old... That's the type of money you'd offer to a young superstar that'll be a free agent (ala Lewandowski).

BlueLyon 9,359
If there wasnt such love from Mou to Rooney (and possibly vice-versa), I wouldnt believe any rumour, but in this case, something might actualy happen. I would love him now, but there is little chance he would come in summer, not to say in January. He is best ManU player atm and they probably wouldnt sell him even for 50m, cuz if they do, they are soo fucked and wont see europe next season for sure. I cant count how many players rejected move publicly in last two seasons, its laughable (Cesc, Modric, Koke, De Rossi, Herrera, Reus,...)

He's incredibly marketable.Selling shirts is nice but big players equaling loads of cash is a bit silly, WAGNH did a good piece on it once.http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2012/7/30/3201349/how-much-are-shirt-sales-really-worth
