Milan 17,956
I think the Bolton - Man U game made the title out of reach. If that ended in a draw, then we would have had a very very good chance at the title, but at the moment its between Man U and Arsenal. We still have a chance but a very small one.I think only a small amount of people expected United to slip against Bolton at home. I am sure there are other games where United have to be afraid of a point's loss.
Tomo 21,751
We have got a awesome record at the business end (only 3 league losses in 6 years during April/May time and 2 of them were in 05/06 AFTER the league title was won) which always puts us in with a chance BUT sadly just like 08/09 and 06/07 our winter jitters has cost us BIG TIME we are shit in the winter really since i can remember (only exeptions being Jose's 1st and 2nd season) and it almost nearly cost us last season aswell.Next season we will have to sort that out because i honestly believe that if we can make a signififcant improvement in our winter form we will walk the title with ultimate ease. Proof being the 2 season's we actully had a decent winter we walked the league. Its not this time of the season thats a problem to us, its the middle part. Pre Roman it use to stop us challenging for the league, these days it stops us winning the bloody thing.
magic weeds 446
just hope Benayoun doesnt get injured while playing for Israel. I think he is the player that will make Torres shine. They know each other and have been playing together for quite sometime. Imo, he should be played behind the strikers. But one thing for sure, we havent found a formation to get the maximum out of our players.End of the season will be FANTASTIC as Carlo puts it. Madmax 9,219
The peaking at the right time philosophy doesn't work in a league format. Momentum is a good thing undoubtedly but it's impact isn't as pronounced in a league as much as in a knockout tournament. Hence it'll stand us in good stead in the UCL, not the Premier League, where I fear inspite of this late rally we've left ourselves too much to do and looking for too many favours from other teams. I see us taking 3rd easily from now on, and 2nd is a possibility too.
Hysteria 159
I have a special feeling for this year since...2009 or something, i really think that we can reach the final and win. In the premier, well, we can catch Arsenal and finish 2...win the league its quite difficult in my opinion, but no impossible, of course not. We must fight for the two titles to the end. coolhead23 1,147
I believe there is a huge thing made out that we could win the title from here on because of the victories we had. I dont see we winning the EPL this year (if we do nothing like it) because of the way we played from Oct to Jan (we dont deserve it) secondly it is difficult to catch up United as they have something which no other team has on a consistent basis which is grit determination and luck, best example would be the last Boltan game. I would reckon best bet would be a close 2nd position which should be a good result provided we keep playing with a belief. Champions league i do think we stand a chance because of the knockouts now. MetsajCFC 1,255
Although I've said earlier that I don't think we are able to do it but after watching the fixture list I do think we've got a fair chance to catch up as long as we don't mess up. I believe in our ability so I voted for Yes.
Bir_CFC 3,455
The way Arsenal are playing, I think we have a very good chance at 2nd.1st is possible too, but only if we beat Man U.
Madmax 9,219
No...too much to do ourselves, and too many favours to ask for from others.Ofcourse mathematically it's possible but I think 2nd is within our grasp seeing how l'Arse are playing. Styles 9,790
The international break really couldn't have come at a worse time. Our squad was coping really well with preparing themselves and playing one game a week.
zolayes 14,489
I still answer the same way I did in the earlier thread.. can we win the title ...of course ...will we win it ....sadly I think no ...manure will just hang on I think ...the luck does seem to stick with them ...more important I am beginning to think we CAN win the CL now ... MetsajCFC 1,255
One could argue that the games that Arsenal has left are all games in which they can slip
steve5221 91
The international break really couldn't have come at a worse time. Our squad was coping really well with preparing themselves and playing one game a week.Plus we had momentum going into every game on the back of a decent result....I'm just hoping no one gets injured this weekend, espcially if Israel play Yossi......he is hugely important to Torres scoring any goals... SinineUltra 1,170
I think it's definately doable but taking it game by game. Glad we grabbed the 3rd spot for now with a game in hand. Now we should just concentrate on game at a time and see where that leads us because United have to play us and Arsenal(which means one of them if not both drop points) and if we get scores going our way, the gap is trimmed to minimum like butter on a warm summer's day.Keep the faith bcs if we don't, who will?
