There is a serious lack of gelling upfront. Anelka goes missing against big teams and tight defences. Torres is immensely short on confidence.

Let him take a penalty, if it helps bring his confidence back..

We need time unfortunatley it's not on our side, we'll have to rely on goals from defenders and midfield and especially set pieces until then.

3 points

Torres doesn't look lazy. In fact he is hungry to score goals.

The problem is....WE ARE RUBBISH. We hardly create any decent chances, there is no width, no decent crosses. Just awful football and he should never have signed for a team that plays this badly because we're making him look worse with every game.

A player like Drogba is a loose cannon who can create for himself which is why he has done well for us. But Torres relies on service to him, without that he is ordinary.

Torres will only shine when we improve the rubbish midfield and lack of wingers in our team. Until then he is going to continue to play like this, running around aimlessly because he has f**k all service.

Hold your horses, Torres plays for Chelsea Fc not the other way around. If someone looks bad , its the whole team, down to the physios... and could say fans who can't be realistic and face that no service acutally does mean no goals. There are numerous of goals that Torres has crafted for himself in the past, eg the Blackburn goal out of nowhere. So in that sense Drog isnt that extraordinary. It's just Torres style of play, cant blame him for that, has worked for him in the past. ;)

Point being, Rome was not built in a day, neither are we. If we want Torres to blend in properly, the least we can do is not moan like little girls about Torres goals. Team win>Personal glory, always.

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway had a typically refreshing opinion on the game.

He said: 'In games like this of this magnitude when David's swinging his sling at Goliath you need him to hit him straight in the forehead and unfortunately we missed with that one, but we didn't stop swinging did we?

'They [Chelsea] can tear you inside out if you give them space in midfield, and they did that with the two goals. As Lamps said, they weren't on their game but they beat us didn't they? We'll put our sling back in the bag, buy another bag of rocks and get ready for our next challenge.'

Some stats I found a few moments ago -

Since the start of season 2009/2010 Chelsea have had the advantage of a penalty kick 20times which makes us the top of the imaginary table. Aston Villa is second (14).

At average, Didier Drogba was more on his own half with his defenders than up front. Only John Terry and David Luiz were more at the back.

Didier Drogba's passing - only 53% of his passes were successful.

What I've noticed about opposition fans is that they spend more time and energy boooooooooiing Chelsea players than cheering on their own players.

if its not JT, its Ashley or Lampard. These 3 came in for large portions of booooage last night, which is fine -it makes them play better, and Terry and Lampard scored and then celebrated in front of the baying :541: Northerners

Long trip to Blackpool and back on the coach, got home early this morning. Not the best of matches for us, but am pleased we got another 3 points which is the main thing. Chant of the match, 'We want to go home, we want to go home, Blackpools a Shithole, we cant to go home.'

Got to love Frank after scoring the penalty :D

Not the best game, but we got 3 points and that`s important. It`s not really about who scores, if we wins.

We can discuss til dom day and call each other idiots or other words, but that don`t create any positivity debate at

the forum. We all in the same boat, we love chelsea :cfc:

Daughter: Why are they booking Cole all the time? Just because he shot someone?

T9: Well, he did shoot someone

Daughter: It was an accident, not like he pointed a gun in his face

T9: still, he's a grown man, you don't do stupid things like that

Daughter: whatever. still don't understand why they're booing him. He plays for England and he's one of the best on England.

Not sure whether I should have been appalled or not by her attitude.
