Invade their end, kick off, smash up their town. (this became the norm before kick off, as the losses were so prevalent) blue%20scalf.gif

Sorry wrong decade

at the infamous Boro home game when they sent us down i tried to get over the fence but fell and thought fook it..my pride is already wounded as i hobbled back up the terrace... i was only about 13 at the time so was probably for the best .:whistling:

Still haven't truly gotten over the nightmare of moscow tbh.

The thing about that game that really pisses me off is Tevez assaulting makelele and Evra elbowing Joe Cole.

Things like that unpunished and never heard of or reported by the media again.

I get wound up most when a ref misses blatant cheating like that. Or blatantly bottles it or is corrupt like all the refs we've had against Barca. Then there was the ghost goal by Luckypool. We've been robbed down the years.

That makes me

Then losing like last week against a shit team, epecially as we've just bought their best player off them making them even weaker. Playing crap and only having one shot on target the whole game can annoy me slightly. or alot.

It depends on a what type of deafeat.

If its one we played shit and deserved what we (IE Sunderland) got i just accept it and move on (after a couple of hours).

If we got robbed by shit refereing (IE you know who) im preety angry for a while.

If we done our best but on the night got beat by the better team (IE Inter) im annoyed but get over it.

If we lose a game we wasted loads of glorious chances and should have done better (IE Rosenborg) im kicking myself.

d same thing is wid me.............the defeat against bir was annoying for me bcas we hit 22 times on target but hvnt got d goal we deserved....................

Or Scholes' attempted forearm smash on Makelele which resulted in a free kick for them! -

Or Rio Ferdinand's flying kung-fu kick on Joe Cole which didn't even get a freekick and deserved yellow -

Some strange officiating but you come to expect that in the Champions League as a Chelsea supporter.

how i react to a defeat depends on the circumstances....when we weren`t as good as we are these days i found it easier..chelsea fans in general had a better sense of humour about these things back then and it wasn`t so much the individual defeats that got to us but the season as a whole..rage was spread out etc..

aslong as we beat the shite hart laners, got our annually good result at Old Trafford and not get relegated it was ok.

some of the most painful defeats have occured for me in the Champions league semi-finals we always seem to get robbed..even the Monaco game their full back handled the ball before it went in ,the `94 cup final was minging too..after that defeat i was inconsolable..i just thought all my life i`ve been waiting for this moment and now it`s turned to shit..for me to feel like that again i think i would have to get Megan Fox into my bedroom only to discover that she`s got a cock.

i never handle any defeat well really but i guess i`d say when we lose away in the group stages of the champions league are the ones i`m best behaved at..i try and just make the most of it and treat it as a holiday and i think the main reason is that we are usually already through before we lose games in the champions league group stage.

The thing i always get told is "its just a game" i agree with what a lot of you are saying about the circumstances on how we lose , when you have 30 shots on goal and they have 1 off a players arse and it goes in , it can be so frustrating especially when the media is all hate Chelsea. but that’s football i guess.

I think the worst defeats are the ones like against Liverpool where we just saw no effort , if i see all players giving 100% effort it really helps if we lose , As it was nice to see Cech and Ivan getting irate with each other because not letting anyone scores i so important to them.

My Dad often says why do you care so much they still cash there £100,000 a week in , but id still like to think some of them are playing for the Shirt and not just the money maybe I’m deluded

I just "learned" how to cope with defeat. The first seasons with Chelsea it was just hard for me. I was so pissed, didn´t talk to workmates, didn´t talk to roommates, lads from Uni.

But this season, once it became clear it wouldn´t be another 09/10 season, i am able to switch off after a lost game and be grumpy for maybe an hour or so.

I watched the Liverpool game in a pub with a good mate who´s a Scouser and Liverpool fan, we had some nice banter and i just thought "You win some, you lose some" - just football. But believe me, it took me ages to get there. I remember when Liverpool cost us our brilliant home record i didn´t said a word for the rest of the day and was pissed off for the next week.

And yes, Moscow and Barcelona at home is still romouring...but were games totally different...that had nothing to do with "some you win, some you lose". Just Harsh.

But it helps to watch highlights, watching Drogba ripping teams apart, watching Lamps and JT working together in perfect harmony....

Well before Roman we use to lose our fair share of games so it was easy to accept.

But after Roman and more specifically Jose we rarely ever lost and when we did lose it was almost always under dubious circumstances so I was pretty pissed off for hours after a game lol.

But recently I'm coping with defeat well under Ancelotti because it happens so often. Thanks Carlo, for reminding me what it was like to be a Chelsea fan before Abramovich. -_-
