Imo its horrible and unfair. The Israeli league tried it in one season, 09/10. The winners finished second in the regular seaons, and until now everyone remembers it as a "meh" title, like they shouldnt have won it.

I think it happend last season in Belgium too, with the maniac Guy Luzon.

It's silly but the league needs money to stay competitive. However, I do think we'll see a Benelux league fairly soon as the Dutch League and Belgian Leagues need to combine to improve performance in Europe and more importantly increase revenue.

Top league with PSV, Ajax, Anderlecht, Club Brugge, Genk, Standard Liege, Feynoord etc would be quite interesting
