I don't listen to much rap. Usually what I do is at the end of every year, find a decent rap playlist for the year and listen through it once and find any that I like.

I really liked this dude Mick Jenkins. Check him out.

That said, any of guys have a nice rap playlist you might want to share?

What do you mean by playlist, random singles?

So in 2012.. you missed the greatest rap album of the last decade in Kendrick Lamar's 'good kid, m.A.A.d city'?

No I didn't miss GKMC lol.

But I've lost interest in rap, as in stopped following it. So yeah I kinda just look for a playlist of random songs once every year. I guess top 50-100 rap songs of the year. I try to find one from a good source (not just youtube top 100) and give it a listen to catch up on anything great I missed during the year.

Just wondering if any of you guys had one too since you guys seems to know your rap.

I don't listen to too much mainstream stuff, but I don't listen to a lot of the shit they post on this thread. I like Blu, listen to Below the Heavens. It's a classic, IMO and one of the 10 best hip hop albums in the last 10 years. This year, I liked Logic's album, J Cole's, Big Krits, Asher Roth, Calle 13(Spanish), Blu's album and Shady XV, I stick to stuff from like 2002-2010.

Your age...

But seriously, I use to listen to rap/hip hop when I was a kid to high school and afterwards(since its big here), but the whole rebel against the world mentality was futile and unneccessary.

Ok, it's official.. you're an idiot.

Nas has an album called 'Life is good' ffs.. how is that rebelling against the world?, Hip Hop in general is very wide ranging in regards to subject matter.
