I've got loads of Madrista friends who hold the likes of Carlos, Zidane and Ronaldo is similar esteem. I've always supported Madrid in Spain, since a lot of their players were icons too me. I know he went through the Madrid youth, but it's not as if its a 25 - 7 pretty generic, and always regarded highly. Raul did make it his own for many years, but the most expensive signing for Madrid, someone who's broken LEGENDS goal-scoring records and is regarded as one of the best players in the world is a respectful homage wouldn't you say?

Talk about being selective, everyone on here thinks they can predict the future.

But it is obvious that if Ronaldo stays at Real for the next ten years, we will beat Raul's goal tally - even if he 'only' scores 20 a season from here-on-in, he'll surpass him.

Of course he would surpass Raul's goal tally, Real Madrid's whole system revolves around Ronaldo, even when Ozil or di Maria have an open shot they pass it Ronaldo.

But what he will never surpass is the amount of love and respect Raul got from not just Real fans but football fans all around the world.

Besides, him scoring more goals than Raul does not necessarily mean he is better player. I honestly think Real play much better football when he is injured and can't play.
