I was prescribed my first pair of glasses today. I'm shortsighted.

I feel for you :) I have had them since I was 13. Just don't break them and get the transition lens if you can!

I can see fine without them. Imagine I see at 85% capacity, but that extra 15% is amazing. It's like going from Standard to High Definition.

Summer(-ish) weather requires summer haircut. Short back and sides, military style. Feels great not needing to adjust hair anymore after every slight breeze. Suns out, uni's football tournament's coming up and I'm representing my year, life is great.

This seems like normal life, I dont know why you are so excited about it.

I an nearsighted as well and yes that extra bit is amazing especially when driving! Mine is bad now, I need them foe good definition of anything past a meter or two. Transition lenses change automatically to sunglasses in UV they are amazing.

I'm looking forward to being able to walk into a cafe and read the behind the counter menu. Sick and tired of getting a coffee and learning how much it cost when I pay for it.

They're alright. Nothing against aviators. I'm more if a wayfarer man though.

See for yourself.

It's a photo if Torres...go look...

Because as I said I'm not blind. I just have slightly dodgy long distance vision. I don't need to wear them 24/7 only when I'm looking at things from a distance.

I completely understand! I have contacts that I can wear for several days and I love the fact I can see the alarm clock in the morning is enough to make my day... With out them I need to be about six inches from the damn clock! Forget trying to order something!
