🇧🇷 Ramires

The Big Drog

He struggled but was outnumbered in midfield and it was not his fault,Mikel just sits and Rammy was often battling against three on his own, this was a major part of our poor first half performance ,difficult for Rammy to win the midfield battle alone. All this one sits back and allows one to go forward really only works in forum land

I thought him and Mikel were actually very good defensively, both were pressing not just Ramires. It's offensively that they were a bit lacking, especially in the first half. Second half I thought Ramires did a good job of breaking lines by running with the ball.

On a separate note -

One things for sure though, Ramires should be the primary attacker from the pivot. That said you'd really prefer if both pivot players could alternate. Lamps can do this but he just can't help control the midfield as much as you'd like from your pivot player. Of course neither can Ramires on a consistent basis, so it's just tough to have a good pivot as none of them complement each other, nor are any the kind of players you'd want in your pivot in the first place.

I really like Rami but he was pretty shocking today, he gave the ball away endless times and was pretty poor all round , lets hope a blip.

BUT when the game was lost ,,even stoppage time finished ,,,Who bust a gut and got into their box to earn the point saving penalty

BTW, Ramires' Cruzeiro have (practically) won the Brazilian league last Sunday.

Yes, Ramires is a fine example of athleticism, but since that's what makes him special, he's a lot less when not at 100%. In other words, Ramires isn't a superior player if talking about his technique alone - personally I think his passing could be improved. However, once you add his good technique (as opposed to great) with his pace, stamina and overall athleticism, then he's a top player.

We need better cover for him. Either Essien and Mikel can provide cover or they can't and should be sold. Frankly I don't understand why Ramires has to play every match.

Cover? We need a midfield partner for him first.

Great guy, love him. Loyal to the club, in my eyes a few more years at Chelsea away from becoming a legend. One of my favourite players in the new generation.

One thing I would like him to learn though is speaking English. It is kinda embarassing to live there for 3 years and not be able to speak for 2-3 minutes fluently.

Well you haven't heard him speak recently then, because it's improved drastically.
