FabHazard 655
TRAORE MOVE COMPLETED Bertrand Traore completed his move to Chelsea today (Wednesday) and immediately sat down with the official website to discuss the transfer. The 18-year-old agreed to sign a four-and-a-half year contract with the club back in October, and with the opening of the January transfer window, he makes the switch from Association Jeunes Espoirs De Bobo-Dioulasso in his native Burkina Faso. Traore is a full international having made his debut in September 2011 a few days before his 16th birthday, and he made one substitute appearance at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations. An attacking midfielder, Traore was taken as a trialist on Chelsea's tour of Asia in the summer and played a part in all three games, scoring in Malaysia and in Indonesia. Bertrand, welcome to Chelsea. How happy were you with our trial period during the summer? 'I was very happy. It was a good experience with all the senior players and I learned a lot from them. I was very proud, so it was a dream for me to be there every day and playing games. Of course I was a little bit nervous but after two or three days I was okay.'Did you feel at home in training? 'On the pitch I was comfortable, I wasn't nervous once I was on the pitch. Jose Mourinho spoke a lot during training and he is one of the best managers, maybe the best in the world. He is a very good person and it is a dream for me to work with him. I can now say I am living a dream.' Did the squad make you sing an initiation song? 'Yes, I sang a French song, in French!'How would you describe your style of play? 'I'm an attacking midfielder. I can play in the number 10 position, I can play on the wings and I'm good on the ball. I can shoot well and am strong in a one v one situation, so I can score goals.' Who are your influences as a player? 'My favourite players are Juan Mata, Mesut Ozil and Eden Hazard. They're very good players and I am trying to be like them. At Chelsea I look to follow the way of some African legends like Didier Drogba, Michael Essien and nowSamuel Eto'o.'You're still young but you're a full international… 'Yes, I played for my country, with my brother, Alain, who plays in the same position. He is the person I followed to be a footballer. I played in the African Cup of Nations which was a good experience, and now I'm not scared of big games. I feel very comfortable.' Styles 9,790
Great! Now loan him out. Why the rush? He can officially play games for the youth/u21's now so let him get 5 months with them. A loan move for next season gives him enough time to have a decent pre-season and start at the beginning with his loan team.Glad to read his comments, sounds like a great kid. He's been just sitting for how long? A year, now? I think we should get him in the action as soon as possible.

Let's get him back up to speed before we ship him off to Vitesse on loan.

bushman 2,043
Great! Now loan him out. Oh no, not another loan. How about play him next season, any chance or not ?
Styles 9,790
Yeah, maybe that's best. After all, he hasn't yet experienced English football even at youth level. And there's also the possibility of a game or two if he really impresses at that level. It's very unlikely but you never know, Mourinho liked him enough to play him in the summer and was very impressed.
kellzfresh 7,229
Would love to see him play for us in the future.Tall, Left footed right winger, with good dribbling and excellent ball control and shot power from distance is exactly what Jose needed in our right wing. A six month loan at a club where he plays every week will do.

The only place to be 11,313
Wouldn't be surprised if this guy took De Bruyne's position in the squad as 6th AM whilst playing with the youth team until summer.
gary gordon 1,777
Was very impressed with him in the trials. He reeks of confidence at such a young age.We could have picked up something special here boys!!!
Phil Driver 503
This boy may not need to go out on loan ,if you are good enough you are old enough. And he looked more than good enough and took his chance when it came around in pre season when he looked at home in the team, indeed he shone,I expect to see him in our first team squad very soon . No surprise to me that Chelsea made this the first signing of the transfer window and that in itself tells you how highly this player is rated . Fulham Broadway 17,330
Four and half year contract, which gives him time to develop, hopefully with us.He's already got 10 full international caps at the age of 18 which is very impressive. Superb on the Asian tour.Wouldnt be surprised to see KDB loaned out again now

Superb on the Asian tour.Wouldnt be surprised to see KDB loaned out again nowKDB might as well be sold. He's behind Hazard, Oscar, Willian, Mata & Schurrle in the pecking order and unless something drastically changes, he will always be our 5th/6th best AM... Pizy 18,938
Why not give him a shot straight away like the Mancs are doing with Januzaj?
Jype 6,398
With KdB as good as gone, give this guy the role of the 6th attacking midfielder in the squad. Might get 5 or so appearances in the first team while mostly playing with the U21s which for a lad of 18 would be a great achievement.Or send him to the black hole that is called Vitesse.
