Yossi Benayoun has completed his loan spell at West Ham United, and returns to Chelsea today (Thursday).

The midfielder, who has missed a large chunk of the campaign with a knee injury, had been receiving treatment at Cobham after appearing six times for the Hammers in the Barclays Premier League, his last outing coming on November 11.

So far in his Chelsea career, he has made 11 appearances, scoring once, and spent last season on loan with Arsenal, where he scored four times in 19 league games.

I think we were paying at least half his wages when he was at West Ham. His contract expires at the end of the season so we might aswell use him as a squad player and extra body in our team. I'd rather him than buy someone completely unproven at an inflated rate like Taison.

For me the key to January is improving our squad in a cost effective manner then can take stock in the summer.

Just checked, Rafa bought him and he was sold a month after Rafa left, so the board/woy sold him.

Yeah but I remember he had problems with Rafa. I remember him saying some stuff about Rafa when he first moved here.

For me, he isn't a Chelsea player and never was, as harsh as it may sound.
