Hope he goes to Bayern Munich, he'd be brilliant there, and massively appreciated too.

yeah I agree, loads of the talented German players sign up there eventually. Mario Gomez signed there from Stuttgart after excelling at Euro 2008.

Nahh they already have Müller and Kroos who play behind the main striker. Both huge huge talents so like at Real, it would be overkill.

In all honesty I can't see him moving to us, not in this window anyway, where would he fit in? Unlikely that he'd be happy to sit on the bench / be constantly rotated, especially in the 4-3-3 system. Surely we'd have to revert back to the diamond?

We could easily play the 'Barcelona midfield'. A DM (Busquets), CM (Xavi) and AM(Iniesta).

In Chelsea's case: DM (Essien), CM (Lampard), AM (Özil).

All three midfielders like to help out in defence so that's a big plus.

You haven't seen too much of Özil, have you? His work ethic is terrible. That midfield trio would force Lampard to take far more responsibility defensively than he's used to. Have to use Özil in a free role at the right wing in a 4-3-3, or at the tip of the diamond.

so Real now have two of Germany's promising stars. Does seem rather interesting for their part... :whistling:

Very intelligent move by Real - they'll have loads of fun with those two.

I think Ozil will be used in a squad rotation system, but since Kaka is out with an injury, it's a wise move. They will endure the flair and confidence in him, and he will grow to be a great playmaker. He will learn a lot from Kaka too, once he returns from injury.

Also, Mourinho works well with youngsters getting into their prime, so it's a good move all round for him.
