middleoftheshed 388
I try to pretty much wipe that whole season from my memory apart from the week when we drew at Anfield then beat Man Utd and Liverpool at home. But I watched a part of the season review back last week and remembering how agonisingly close we came made me feel a bit sh*t.
Rambo 1,729
Not anymore, I've put it behind me now. I'm still a bit mad about what happened vs Barcelona last year,we were excellent and deserved to win the CL. BlueLion. 21,491
It hurts, sure. I can't bring myself to watch the game or any highlights. Thinking about it hurts as well. Although I feel pretty proud of the team; we were fucking sensational in that game and totally deserved to win. The most upsetting thing is that the trophy was this close. That being said, when we win the Champions League, it'll feel a lot less worse.

boshman 1,073
Every time i see the penalty's i still get nervous because i know what is coming. I watched them a few weeks ago and imagined what would have happened if Terry's pen went in. What my reaction would have been, what his and our players reaction would be. How it would look with JT lifting the trophy. I shouldn't have done. I'm not ashamed to say it made me cry. lol! Will not watch it again for a very long time. I just keep telling myself that the more hurt we get in this competition, the better it will feel when we do finally win it. I just hope we do it in the JT, Lampard era because they deserve it. DavidEU 2,023
I don't buy the whole 'I still can't watch JTs penalty' tripe. It's football for christ sake. Grow up.The thing that annoys me more about that season, is the way we through our chance of the title. The draw at home to Wigan, in particular. We'd have been in pole position had we won that. Steve 10,227
Alot of things annoy me about that season. But yes that night in moscow still hurts alot. I dont like seeing it at all. For some reason seeing us lose to Barca in the Semis last season hurts more but.

Rubber bullets 1,183
During the heat of the moment yes, but now it only annoys me on how close it was, but you move on in life.

Clevemayer 764
I'll always be destroyed when I have to remember this night... cause I was watching with my cousin who has died in an horrifieing accidant, a promising footballer, rightback and centerback was invited by kaiserslautern and other big teams from germany had turned 18 when he died, for two weeks...we both where on our knees pleeing fo JT to score, and then we were jumping up to celebrate, and then the fucking post... and i never ever had the chance to watch a final together with him, he was bayern munich fan, and always wanted to visit the bridge together with me one day...RIP Broand cause of that, its a really hurt'n moment to me... ChelseaChick 430
Its sickening. But last year pisses me off even more, i still dont like barca because of it and it wasnt even there fault it was the refs! I cant watch either of them games ever again..not that any Chelsea supporter would want to anyway!
DavidEU 2,023
I'm sure you were as gutted as the rest of us, David.I was gutted, of course. I love this club, as you know Alex. But theres far more important things in life. Some people need to remember that. The whole 'I haven't watched highlights' or 'I can't watch the penalty again' lines are just tosh in my opinion, along with the likes of 'Chelsea means everything to me'. BlueLion. 21,491
That's fine.I know there are more important things than football in life. Find me anyone who thinks otherwise. Doesn't stop me from feeling gutted to this very day. I don't want to watch highlights because it puts me in a bad mood
