Nathaniel Chalobah

Chalobah is so bloody mature at this age. He seems to understand his role really well while also noticing that if there's an opportunity, it's ok to break his role for a moment to exploit the other team's gap.

So HT 2-0 Watford. Chalobah has been good so far - a couple of moments of naivety on the ball, which I would expect of someone who's just 18, but more moments that show his class and talent on the ball, as well as defensively. Nice run for the goal too.

Something that always catches my attention when I watch Nathaniel is that he is excellent at blocking channels. He doesn't try to needlessly tackle the opposition player, but rather close the passing angle for him and force him to lose possession. You rarely see that with 18yo players.

I agree. This is why you rarely see him running about sliding into tackles like other DMs, he is very much a tactician.
