Kez 2,727
One of the best players i have ever seen. Not sure if he is the best Chelsea player, he's certainly close to Zola considering all that he's achieved so far at this club.
Steve 10,227
Out of the players i have seen at the club i rate lampard as highly as anyone. Zola was great and lampard is on par with him. I say if he continues to play the way he has last 5 seasons and ends up retiring at the club i would personally say yes he is one of the best that has ever played for Chelsea. Mungii 3
There is obviously a hall of fame in any club, We have had some real treasures over the years and Lampard will definitely be regarded as one of our legends. Some of us were lucky enough to witness some of our all time greats during their playing careers, for me Ossie stands out as the best ever Chelsea player, but then in the next breath Zola made an explosive start and won the heart of every Chelsea fan in the world. If I had to list a legend list it would look like this, and in no particular order.Roy BentlyPeter OsgoodRon 'Chopper' HarrisDave WebbCharlie CookePat NevinKerry DixonNigel SpackmanTony DorigoDennis WiseDan PetrescuGianfranco ZolaRoberto Di MatteoRuud GullitGianluca VialliMarcel DesaillyCluade MakeleleFrank LampardJohn TerryDidier Drogba There are others that can be added to that list, but for me these are the most outstanding players in our history. I have been lucky enough to see all of these wearing our shirt, with the exception of Roy Bentley, but he has to get a mention as our first ever title winning captain. What about JFH...he was a legend too....Ridur was great but he left!=((For me it must be Zola (Every mourning I see his shirt on my wal, then there is Lamps or Wiise!! BlueLion. 21,491
No doubt one of the greatest. I think in 20 years time, we'll be talking about him the way we do about Zola and Osgood.
ZanSnake 1,211
Their has been some many greats, an to top that list is an honor that is astonishing. If Lampard carries on playing the way he has since he's been at the bridge, and then retires, he desrves to be atop of the list. He's already written history in the Chelsea books, i am one for sure to heope that the great acomplishments he has helped us with can go on futher. Probably as both player and hopefully one day a great manager. But at this moment of time, to me he is a working-class-legend that will one day become the best player we'll ever had, if he can keep up his good form. Hopefully, he can bring in more trophies with Chelsea with the season and the future ones. I love his style of play and his personality as a hard-working player who would do anything for Chelsea. And that alone shows loyalty, and a reason why he should be called one of the greats, and one day, the greatest.
