LOVE seeing Cole go crazy when Nico did not pass him the ball

Agree but on the other hand Cole should have passed to the other wide open KDH when he had his shot blocked on the counter instead. Even though it did not matter the chance wasting today was again frustrating. Can’t have this in the final

João Pedro’s defensive performance in the Club World Cup semi‑final against Fluminense on July 8, 2025:

  • Fouls Committed: 1 foul during the match
  • Defensive Involvement: Noted for tracking back and disrupting play—he made at least two clearances to thwart the Fluminense attack
  • Defensive Effort: Although primarily a forward, João Pedro contributed defensively by pressing opponents and hustling in transitions helping to clear a dangerous Jhon Arias cross
  • Cleared a corner kick with a back flick header.

We were underdogs in both of our CL triumphs (massive ones in 2012). It's a position where we have thrived in the past.

2012 was a miracle though. Plus those were different teams, experienced ones who had won tons of big games. This current one has only won one as slight underdogs vs on the beach Liverpool. We need a perfect game to even stand a chance.

do not see why FIFA would change things from the once-every-4-years national teams World Cup, where the champions auto-qualify for the next one

it would be absolute bollocks if they took that away

I don't think that is right anymore. I think the champions of the Nations world cup have had to qualify for a few tournaments now. If I'm remembering correctly it was down to money. The holders wanted competitive games to cash in on.

Depending on who we face - RM have had a dire season up until this point and have a new manager. If anything, I'd put us as slight favourites. If it's PSG, Botafogo showed it can be done in this very tournament.

I still feel like we have a good chance, if we don't shot ourselves in the foot.

In a personal point of view, I think we have better chances againts real

absolutely

Real has real weakeness to exploit

PSG have none of note

they are 2 or 3 deep with real quallity at every postion

and also have a an Actual pretty deadly CF if they need to go that route (which I doubt they do)

they have the best LB and best RB on the planet

and that MF is just insanely stacked

great CBs, great GK, and deadly as fuck front 3

scary AF young side

but of course, NEVER count out Real Madrid in big games and finals

they are the best team, by far, historically in football history

and have WC talents at many (not all) postions

The loss against Flamengo could go down as the best loss in football history when you look at the fact if we win the tournament and the cash we make

As I said the other day, it's the most fortunate, and most profitable, defeat in the history of football.
