"squad building" isn't that difficult for him.   Injuries are the real killer, No Rodri, Stones and Ake haven't even played 10 PL games this season. 

Just look at the drop off in quality we had when Fofana & James went down with injuries.

Surprised at the lack of investment by them beyond their core of 12-13 players.

Optimistic now. This is our best 11 available. City lineup doesn't have much pace and 2 new players plus some players out of position. Won't settle for a draw. We can create 5 points gap over City and come just one point behind 3rd place and Nottingham.

Valid point on the injuries.

on the other hand, they have players are past their prime and/or in really poor form.

KDB for example. Foden is almost unrecognizable these days.

and as written above, they also lack strength in depth… or at least did.
