BUT (unless it is due to contracts winding down)

there is no way we would pay less for a 'big name' LB (and there are, atm not that many in reality) than what we paid for him

so hats off to the scouts on him

he is SO SO much better defensively now than he was in La Liga (which was my big compaint about him back then)

and he was absolutely vital for Spain winning the 2nd (by far) biggest continental national team trophy

Could already see several Brentford defenders breathing heavily in that half. Need to keep up this relentless pressure. Especially in the wide areas.
