Some people are just bad at coaching, while have an eye for talent.

I mention how Avram Grant, a men Mourinho did not want as Technical Director actually had a great eye to spot talent.

AVB fall under this category at the moment.

Who knows he might be the best in a decade, but for now, he is just another Avram.

I did too, but the results don't lie. Look @ RDM's results & compare them w/ AVB's. We became European Champions under RDM. We were pushovers under AVB

I've never really shared the hatred for spuds that most Chels do but my goodness their fans could moan for Britain. They just never stop even when harry had them in 3rd half of them were saying "he's taken us as far as he can" and now after 2 games they've all written avb off and want him back.

I think he is one of the best scouts I seen.

A lot of people say how SAF, Wenger and Mourinho pick good talent....but I am more impress by this guy then anyone else.

He should just stick to that, and let the coaching done to better managers like the one mention already.

I think with AVB is he isn't prepared to ditch his philosophy even in the short term. Look at Robbie, he likes attacking football but last season made use of his resources properly and came out with an FA Cup and Champions League.

All about being adaptable and versatile and AVB doesn't have those qualities as a manager after what happened here. Kinda makes you wonder what he learned from Sir Bobby Robson and Mourinho to be making so many mistakes like that.

Hardly, we still don't have a quick enough defence for his high line. We'd still lose games 4-3 all the time.

Perhaps England isn't right for him. He would do well to go back to the continent where his style of football would be more accepted by the players as opposed to England.

Did he though?, how remarkable & groundbreaking his work at Porto was is debatable.

It's not just his style of play.. his man-management skills, and the way he treats players are all factors. AVB also tries to be a 'Mourinho' to the press, he lacks the charisma to pull it off.
