Hopefully a precaution or minor knock. For me he is our most important central midfielder already.

With him out and considering the way Wolves play I’d have started KDH here. Could have used his work rate and ability to receive the ball well in tight areas. I don’t yet trust A Gusto and Caicedo pairing in midfield.

I was actually feeling very confident about this match before the team news dropped. But with Lavia out and the team Maresca has gone with I think we could look pretty damn poor here. If they go with a super high energy pressing game plan against us I think we’ll struggle.

For me I can’t unsee what was pointed out re Lavia. Every player gets past him, so he then fouls them. That’s his primary mode of defending. I really dislike his profile of play

If we had some sort of defensive winger on the right, could support Enzo and Caicedo in the defensive phases, while holding shape and creating openings to slip others bombing forward. There’s a real lack of balance in having both Madueke and Mudryk flanking the wings, Palmer central, with Enzo x Caicedo, of course unless presuming will have 99% possession — but Mudryk x Jackson preclude turning it over, so we will have to defend. But who. Lol

Olise imo was going to be an Aguero type signing and show to be that size of a miss. Hard to reconcile for me the idea that we are even half decent out wide all considered all phases of the game. And yet people discuss Osimhen. Paez isn’t a winger and Estevao is only one, and more an attacking mid in how he plays. Wide players who are happy to get the ball back. 0. 😔

Whole lot of faith placed in Mudryk to be starting here. If he is poor yet again then he shouldn’t start another PL match again any time soon. Use him only in Conference League and the cups.

At least we don’t have to suffer through Enzo at no 10 from the start

Idk, looks like he’s going to be advanced again up there with Palmer in the #10 sort of area.

It will be Caicedo - Enzo in midfield. Gusto in his usual fullback role but inverting

I figured it would be Gusto in midfield with Cucu inverting in there for support but you might be right.
