Trevor has been our best CB this season. Selling him is lunacy.

I don't, full Summer of rest is what he needs. Don't need that moron Southgate running him into the ground because he wants to play ultra defensive football.

Disaster as I call him needs to be sold ASAP. Since he has been out of the team we've barely conceded. Absolutely woeful player.

He wouldn’t be starting anyway, for sure. Walker is going to be the undisputed first choice for Southgate. And probably rightfully so as he has been incredibly solid and consistently fit for City again.

Incredibly frustrating that sky sports don't show the Lamptey challenge on the highlights but show Reece's red card etc it's so biased it's a joke, I just honestly wouldn't even care as long as it wasnt one rule for one type deal. No wonder Wolves are pushing to bin VAR, though too much money has been poured into it for it to go.

Agreed, on the other hand the sampling is a bit small esp because we have very few teams actually playing for things in the last rounds. I also have a hard time comparing a match against Brighton, or any of the teams we played lately, vs the away match against Arsenal when everyone pretty much stunk.

Still, it's clear that Trevor is better than Disasi in both ball control (skill) as well as pace.

Same way that Nkunku is better than Mudryk in, well, everything.

Haven't watched the game yet (recorded for later), but had a bit of a hard time knowing what James actually did when reading this thread. 😅

Yep if we sell Connor or Trevor this summer this ownership group are at it. Trevor has impressed since coming back in regularly and well Connor’s season speaks for itself- barring Cole been our most consistent player and best midfielder.

Just beat Bournemouth now.

Our finishing position will paper over the cracks over what has been a really poor season for us. The fact most sides competing for Europa and Conference spots outside the top 4 have fell off/been poor has helped us a lot.

I 'm happier now because this team can score goals.
Under Potter - Lamps - first half of season with Poch, only through the ... eyedropper.
W.r. to league position it's been several years we are not seeing something really good.
This time we finished below the CL positions by some margin but it's not as if I remember something a lot better, since Antonio.

I just read that James ban will be 5 games for violent conduct. So he misses Bournemouth and the first 3 next season…

Hope we somehow reduce it. What a stupid action on his part…

How was Lamptey's full swing of an elbow to Mudryk's face not a red but James's kick to Pedro's leg a red. Both should be red or neither. Thick refs behind VAR are too thick to even make any decision correctly

There's no agenda, just incompetent refs. After all we had most penalties this season 12.

Agreed. Play better and then you don't have to worry about refs and var.

Had forgotten how good a player Nkunku is! Guy has everything in his toolbox... just...needs...to...stay...fit

Lamptey's was a shoulder lunge which caught Mudryk in the face. The move wasn't strictly illegal in football, but James' kick, esp caught in slowmo, looked pretty intentional, hence the red. I have no qualms with either.

To be fair to this crazy thread 😆I did initially think "James had scratched a man's" (balls), but the slowmo showed it was a pretty intentional "bitch" kick.

Joao Pedro had no weight on the leg James kicked. If he had stepped on it, could have been really bad.

I get that Reece doesn't like to be fouled dirty considering all the injuries, but that behaviour is unacceptable. Very lucky it didn't cost us. Had it he would have been front page villain.

Well we should've had two against the Dippers, one against City in the Semi and I think there are more. It is all well and good saying we had a lot, but it is because we've been fouled so much. However, I agree it is largely to do with incompetence.

I thought it was 3, have they changed the rules on this? 5 is crazy.

I have never heard anything about a 5 game suspension for violent conduct, except in exceptional circumstances like those issued to Suarez. I would assume it will be 3?

Honestly don't think Reece should continue as captain. What he has going for him is that he has been at Chelsea for a very long time, which is great. But I'd sooner have Chalobah or Gallagher be captaining than him tbh, if that is all we're looking for in a Captain. Better yet I would like an experienced international footballer who stays fit and is captain for their country to be our captain, but I'm not sure we have any of those anymore...
