Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham

Man Utd and Newcastle still have to play each other. What an end to the season this will be. If we get 6th it will feel like a trophy, which says a lot about how much we have fallen, but nevertheless, if we could do it...

We did very good against traditional big 6:

3 wins

4 draws

3 losses

Only Arsenal won more points!

Very promising.

Now learn to unlock weaker sides for next season. Should be easier part of job.

Unlocking is no problem for us. We scored 65 goals, it's not that bad. 59 conceded is INSANE, especially 2-3 against teams like Burnley, Sheffield,Brentford..

Defense needs some serious trimming. We need to get rid of players who cannot stay healthy and build a base defense. Now we pretty much have a base team but defense keep changing. I have no idea who would be starters if everyone was available.

Ngl think Potter would be doing at least as good as Poch. He had impossible circumstances.

Both always had like double digits injuries. Not even worth judging them in this circumstances. Replacing Potter with Lamps was stupid but I blame fans. We will never find out if Potter would win CL last season.

Agreed defense is biggest problem. But our projected starters Colwill, Fofana and James were never available. Plus DM in front of them in Lavia. Plus we lost a lot of points because of Sanchez and Sterling/Jackson fucking up in front with sitters and selfishness.

Just to record by "BOOOO" because you called Spurs "big."

Seriously though, there are teams which because of characteristics do well against tougher opposition, but don't have enough attacking prowess to consistently beat the weaker opposition esp away from home.

Getting that balance right is extremely difficult, and why Pep gets all the dough.

Caicedo and Cucerella seem to have woken up from some sort of coma voodoo witchcraft placed on them upon their transfer from Brighton.

Cucu must of read all of the comments about how Maatsen should be playing in his place 😂

Looked very confident. He has always got that aggressiveness and willingness to get really close to his man tonight.

Caicedo looks more assured without Enzo next to him. Don’t know why but just does.

Poch talking about both phases of the game with Sky in his post match, with the ball and without the ball and also going on about competitiveness. The competitiveness without the ball side has been a huge issue this season - I am glad he is talking about it.

Been saying this all season, caicedo is asked to do to much to make up for enzos defending liabilities.

Never thought I'd see you say this 🤣

I can only go off what I see

and CuCu and Caicedo have been solid lately

and TBH, the LBs out there in actual target zone are not exactly an all you can eat buffet atm

Davies is Real bound I wager

Nuno Mendes has looked not so good after his horrid injury and is not leaving PSG

José Gayà turns 30yo the end of next season

Quilindschy Hartman destroed his knee and is out until 2025

Theo Hernández is not leaving AC and I fear for his lack of pace

there is one out there who would be perfect Federico Dimarco

crazy hard pull, I so doubt he would leave Inter atm

that leaves

Alejandro Grimaldo (insane season at Leverkusen, 11 goals, 18 assists so far), but he is very small and do not know if he can handle the EPL phsysicality

Miguel Gutiérrez

Antonee Robinson

Mudryk was by far the worst player on the pitch today, and some Spurs players were missing a first touch (Richarlyson for ex).

Think it's very plausible Maatsen would be able to do better, or at least be a viable option without having to change the system, like he did when Casadei got in.

United 54

Newcastle 53

Chelsea 51

4 games to go.

They play each other and United have Arsenal. We have favorable fixtures.

Win all 4 we finish 6th guaranteed.

United doesn't scare me at all but Newcastle could be a problem. They also have good schedule.

A positive performance and a clean sheet to boot.

It's nights like this that annoy me most, as I can only think about "what might have been" had we not thrown away points throughout the season.

So good to beat those fuckers though - and we kept a clean sheet !...and Nico does have neck muscles after all...

We are 4th on table in second part of the season. Last 15 games. 4 to go. Should stay there. Went to Wembley in both cups. Scored already 27 more goals than last season. Not to mention double digits injuries of essential players all season. Plus gonna finish with around 15 points more over last season. So we improved in many areas. Sacking Poch would be ridiculously stupid thing to do. Give him next season.

we need to win all 4 to have a decent shot at 6th

Arse needs to beat Manure, hammering them would be fucking great (if Manure wins out other than that Arse loss then we, if we win all 4, probably beat them for 6th on GD)

Manure needs to likely beat NUFC (a Manure draw with NUFC sounds great at first glance, BUT NUFC winning their other 3 and drawing Manure, and even if we win out means we miss out on 6th place by GD to NUFC)

those 4 points dropped v SU and Burnley are just potential killers

ffs

We can't beat Sheffield and Burnley, we aren't winning 5 in a row.
