LDN Blue 7,903
Just reading the initial story again (which is what this topic is about if anyone remembers) Aguero says.. "But it's not just Drogba - it's Lampard, Terry, Anelka, Essien, and maybe even Fernando Torres."Does he expect us to sign Torres?

chrismada9 1,948
my guess is that chelsea want him..but don`t want a bidding war with Man City..so have decided to keep quiet about their transfer targets until they have signed from now on...I see no real evidence from any sort of article that suggests Man City officially want Aguero
Duppy Conqueror 1,533
I see no real evidence from any sort of article that suggests Man City officially want Agueroif Chelsea make it public they want him...you will.they are never the first team to make their interest known in a player..they just let other clubs do the scouting etc.. for them, then jump in with an over the top offer. RX8 40
Atletico Madrid star Sergio Aguero admits interest in a summer move to Premier League champions ChelseaArgentine striker looking to move to team that can win trophies...Atletico Madrid striker Sergio 'Kun' Aguero has admitted that the idea of a summer move to Premier League champions Chelsea is one he is intrigued by.The Argentina international has been linked with a move to several of the elite clubs in Europe after displaying his talent at Atletico. The La Liga club could let Aguero go if they got the right offer, as Atletico know that the big clubs will always come calling for the 22-year-old."If an offer comes in from the right club and Atletico feels it is the right price, then a deal can be done," Aguero told the Daily Star."Of course Chelsea is of interest to me as they are one of the most powerful teams in European football."They show their intent summer after summer in the transfer market and more often than not that intent will see them end the season with at least one trophy."While Aguero is keen to build himself a solid future, the most important aspect of any transfer would be the chance to win major trophies at his new club."As a player you need to look after your future financially but the truth is most top European clubs would offer me top packages," he added."What I need to consider is where I can win things and I know for sure I can win things at Chelsea. You look at their players and you are excited about any future you may have there."To be the strike partner of Didier Drogba is a thing many players would love to be."But it's not just Drogba - it's Lampard, Terry, Anelka, Essien, and maybe even Fernando Torres. "They have quality players everywhere." Edited July 12, 2010 by RX8
EskWeston 696
This deal seems as though it would be pretty straight forward if we were to pay what Athletico want and the wages that Aguero wants, but unfortunately life isn't that simple. I do hope that a deal is being done/been done and he will shortly be signing for us. For me it would be a real statement of intent to build on and a player of his age an ability to play behind Drogba would really make a big impact on our attacking play. Steve 10,227
There is absolutely no reason why the club should not be putting in a bid for Kun. Even if it is not the price tag that Atletico is asking for. At the end of the day, they can only reject the bid and if needed we bid more. But with there current financial difficulties anything in the region of 25 to 40 million, would have to be considered. He is the type of player that we are lacking. Someone who can dribble and take on players. He is also young and has plenty of time to mold into our team. As he has said in his interview, playing alongside Didier would be a big learning curve for him as a striker. They are two completely different players, but both have that keen eye for goal. Badboy 1,526
Sparse news about Aguero! anything remotely new?? or is Carlo too busy chatting up Kaka???Im getting sick of it, Aguero is a quality player but if he does not come i wont be losing any sleep. We have sturridge who is quality himself (not as good as aguero but could be world class in the future) so the future is bright anyway.
