Napoli lawyer Mattia Grassani has warned Chelsea that as it stands, the Partenopei ‘could demand €150m’ to free the Coach from his contract.

Sarri remains contracted to Napoli, despite the southerners replacing him with Carlo Ancelotti, while matters have been made more difficult by Chelsea’s decision not to pay his €8m release clause before May 31.

“Sarri doesn’t need to be informed of his sacking,” he told CalcioNapoli24.

“That’s because once the 2018-2019 season has started, by which point Napoli will officially have another Coach registered, the other [Sarri] will be automatically lifted from his office. It’s a choice that Napoli can reserve until July 31.

“Sarri’s a Coach who is still available to Napoli. He hasn’t been sacked, he’s under contract until June 30, 2020.

“His release clause can be exercised until May 31 of each season he is contracted, and it’s effective from July 1.

“Now it’s expired, Sarri could be released with effect from July 1 next year if the clause is paid.

“Therefore, the clause has no value today. Napoli could even demand €150m to free him, so we need to talk.”

utter rubbish. An agreement will (should) be found.  Napoli do not want to pay both Sarri and Ancelotti, no matter what these Italian articles reckon.

He hasn't been sacked officially no, but his contract states "manager" he is no longer "manager".  There will almost certainly be some legal loophole. In the UK, it'd be bang to rights constructive dismissal.

How about we send a Russian assasin instead... <_<

Seriously, though. Why does De Laurentiis need to be such a colossal asshole? You have a new manager in place, FFS! I could understand if they were utterly desperate to keep him and he had 4 years left on his contract or something. But they already have a bloody replacement manager and a great one at that.

Probably because he know we have been tapping Sarri up for some time while we have refused to pay Sarris 8 million release clause in some stupid attempt to save a few dollarez.

I would do the same tbh.
