As much as i agree it is too early for Lampard or Terry but if we are going for a new manager ... Lets nail both of them to Manager & Asst Manager position. The only reason is because they know the club in and out, some loyalty for Chelsea, there would be some respect within the dressing room as they were part of it not long ago and they could have a direct line to the owner which most of the manager might not. It would be a huge risk to have them or either one but I do feel it's a risk worth taking.

Juve president is part of the UEFA executive committee. He was more than likely always gonna be there as he will be at the CL final as well I would imagine. The interest from Juve is real though and Sarri is basically off after meeting the club and telling them that he wants to leave.

Again regarding Lamps, look at Henry at Monaco, look at Ole at United after being appointed full time. Lack of top level managerial experience among other things. Allegri has to be top target, think he could do well here, hes a lot more flexible tactically and doesnt just have one formation he prefers has used 4312, 4231, 352, 4141/433 throughout his spells with Milan and Juventus. Personally think the club should try persuade Sarri to stay but they are obviously not that fussed so fair enough. Does that mean Zola will leave as well? Allegri would want his full staff undoubtedly.

One of my primary concerns is will this become yet another let off for some players.

I know we have the ban so offloading a few will likely be impossible but any of us can see that CHO needs to be given plenty of opportunities when he's back fit, but will he be back behind Pedro and Willian who are internationally recognised. Will RLC be in a similar position.

The club should be selling Zappa this summer and integrating James into the first team squad, but would this happen?

I have major concerns with a continental manager such as Allegri, some of the evolution of this squad that can still take place despite the ban next season won't happen.

I can't see them giving the job to anyone else than Lampard. Board wants to see a team built around the youth players and Lampard is seen as the ideal man to carry out that project. Also he will probably be given a level of job security that has been unheard of in the Roman era.

Think that one came from the betting odds...

Main names mentioned are Allegri, Lampard and Blanc (OMFG!).

Laurent Blanc, no thank you. If it happened would support him but he is a very average manager, hence why he hasnt worked since 2016 and is only linked to caretaker manager jobs when someones getting sacked. Decent spell at Bordeaux before France but PSG with that money and that squad, was inevitable hed win the domestic trophies.

Patrick Viera is a wildcard, not sure hes not ready for a bigger job. Hes been a manager for 5 seasons now including reserve and development level at City, 2 seasons in MLS and now has done decent with Nice in his first seasom but maybe top 4 PL club is still a bridge too far and he maybe needs another step. Dont think hed be interested anyway, I reckon Arsenal/City would be who he is more interested in managing some day.

Lampard, already mentioned why I wouldnt be overly confident with that move in other threads.

I think Allegri will have other offers and the likes of Luis Enrique (would he leave Spain for us though?), Quique Setien, Julen Lopetegui, will all get linked eventually. Along with Eddie Howe and Nuno. Just hopefully no David Wagner this summer.

Bielsa!

Would be interesting and would be for it although he would need to be fully given the trust to continue from the stage we are at. Leeds played some class football this season but also had a dip, reckon hed probably get similar treatment to Sarri as there quite similar in a way. Both stubborn, both have uncompromising philosophies, both have ran a group of 14 or 15 players into the ground due to lack of rotations and intense training routines.... plus Bielsa would be insistent on more control in the transfer side of things hence why he left Lazio because they failed to sign 4 out of 7 players he demanded before pre season started. He would probably demand the club get rid of some more experienced/squad/loan players though like he did at Lille but that ended up in a disaster for him and Lille too. His spell at Bilbao was impressive though, really was.
