They obviously see something in training which he has just not been able to execute on the actual pitch. That only suggests where his main deficiencies are, and it actually makes his case worse in my book. He clearly lacks the temperament for competitive football, which isn't something that can be developed. Considering the above, he'd have to compensate that with unbelievable skill and I happen to think his technique is overrated; he just shows too much of the football at times. I suspect Italy might be a good place for him due to the slower pace of the game there--similar to Cuadrado.

He ultimately exploded last season, Spurs have now taken the risk, but it's still unsure wheter he can maintain that level or back to mediocrity. Difference between top players and Championship-level players is very small actually. There are hundreds or greatly talented players with insane potential around, but ability of making quick and good decisions and putting up with stress at the highest level makes the difference, as well as showing flexibility and responding positively to change(new coach, new system etc.) Mudryk clearly is talented and quick AF but it is also clear he is lacking confidence very much and seems unable to adapt, evolve. Just look at Madueke, they arrived at the same time, he hardly got any chances at the beginning, but one can see he believes in himself and always trying to impress, even it means he seems selfish and wasteful at times. He improved a lot and he definetly improved his position in the squad in the last 18 months, while Mudry going deeper and deeper. Noni always asking for the ball and looking to score goals, Mudryk is hiding behind defenders not to receive the ball and making safe passes not to embarrass himself. This behaviour on the pitch is not taking him anywhere. Β Imo, Mudryk definetly needs a loan to a team where he can be the star player, run the show and enjoy himself, things which he clearly doesn't at Chelsea. I have doubts wheter he is capable to turn things around at this point. I want to say I am cheering for him, but for me he is not a likeable charachter at all. To be honest, Madueke's transfer back to England benefits him a lot more than Mudryk. We don't know if Mudryk has acclimated to life in the UK despite being here for quite some time, and there aren't many Ukrainians plying there trade over here. Some players can deal with the difficulties surrounding them or pressure, while others just can't hack it. This season is obviously make or break for him. OneMoSalah 8,886
Keep seeing things about how players & coaches see quality or ability from him in trainingβ¦ If competitive football matches were decided in training, ok fair, but they arenβt and we hear it far too often. Yet see nothing on the pitch from him to back up these claims. Must go. No loan. Sell at a loss. Wasnβt at the level required when we signed him but also didnβt have a lot of experience in menβs football. Technically he is awful too, like really. Decision making also incredibly poor, wrong decision 3/4βs of time but if he had played another 100 games maybe be better - but again big maybe. Vesper 30,178
Those at Chelsea have already accepted thatΒ βfrustratingβ player is a failed signing https://www.thechelseachronicle.com/news/those-at-Chelsea-have-already-accepted-that-frustrating-player-is-a-failed-signing/ Β There is a feeling inside Chelsea that one of their signings has been a huge failure, so much so that they may be prepared to sell the player in the New Year. When you look at the currentΒ Chelsea squad, thereβs a real mix of successes and failures in the dressing room. If youβre searching for positives, someone like Cole Palmer has been a shining light since his arrival in 2023. Blues supporters will be glad to hear thatΒ Palmer is training ahead of the Bournemouth fixture on Saturday, as confirmed by the clubβs official website. Unfortunately, many of his teammates have struggled to make a significant impact atΒ Stamford Bridge. Chelsea accept Mykhailo Mudryk signing is a failure According toΒ GiveMeSport, Chelsea are not happy with the way thatΒ Mykhailo MudrykΒ has performed since he arrived at the club back in the January window of 2023. Itβs understandable because the Ukraine attacker has only scored seven goals and made five assists in 62 appearances. It is explained that thereβs an acceptance at Chelsea that the signing of the 23-year-old winger has been a failure so far. Apparently, if Mudrykβs form doesnβt improve from now until January, they may be open to selling him. It cost the Blues a gigantic Β£89m deal (BBC) to sign the rapid forward from Shakhtar Donetsk, which is looking like a poor bit of business right now. Mykhailo Mudryk will slip down pecking order It does feel like Mudryk needs a miracle to save his Chelsea career because nothing is working out for him in west London. Itβs even more frustrating when you see the left-winger perform during international breaks in Ukraine colours. Speaking via talkSPORT last season,Β Carlton Cole described Chelseaβs Mudryk as a βfrustratingβ player. That is the perfect summary of his time in English football so far. We think he could really struggle for minutes moving forward because of the increased competition in wide areas from teammates such as Jadon Sancho, Joao Felix, Christopher Nkunku, Noni Madueke and Pedro Neto.
