If we’re after a DM I don’t know why we’d allow Leicester to sign Soumaré for cheap. I’ve rated him for a couple of years now and God knows he’ll be worth triple what they pay for him in a couple of seasons like always with Leicester.

A midfield of Ndidi, Soumaré, and Tielemans is crazy good and balanced.

You are right. Leicester will have a midfield to be reckoned with. Soumaré has been vital in Lille's incredible defensive record.

As if Lille wouldn't nearly double the price had they'd known we were interested. Bit like Kovacic as well considering he dribbles in transition.

As far as I'm concerned, we are in need of a pure DM and Tchouameni fits the bill. Absolute monster.

If that's true then personally I don't think they will be willing to sell Lukaku

Even so, no guarantee Guardiola will go for Kane anyway.

Also, IF Messi becomes available this summer, would Guardiola go for him instead?

IF Citeh are indeed serious about becoming the best club on the planet for years on end, they will kneecap every other top 10 club on planet and nail down Håland this summer

that's the way I see it

he is basically the final major piece to that monstrous puzzle until De Bruyne ages out, which is years from now, unfortunately I fear, he still has at least 3, probably 4 top years left (30, 31, 32, and likely 33yo, as he turns 30 on June 28, 2021)

I do not for a second buy into the deluded (and playa hating) arguments that Real, Barca, Pool, Juve, Bayern, Atleti, PSG, and Manure fans are using when the say Håland cannot adapt to Pep's style.

That is just ludicrous.

Those 8 clubs, plus Chels and Citeh are the 10 biggest clubs on the planet, with Inter banging on the door (likely booting out Atletico, especially if Simeone bounces) IF they hold onto all their players and add intelligently, which I sorta doubt they can, even with that 275m euro loan, but time will tell.

Putting on my Mongol empress (the only empire in human history that actual had a shot at taking over the ENTIRE world, but that is far too long a convo and not germane to thsi discussion) cap, IF I was Citeh, I would grab Håland this summer and then somehow work out a Sterling (who surely will rebound this coming season) + cash plus maybe even another player (maybe a CB other than Dias, especially IF the rumours are true and Citeh is going for Bastoni) for Mbappe next season with PSG (make a deal where he stays for next year at PSG, lock him up for summer 2022 (when his contract expires), no matter what the cost).

Same team, same age, same physical appearance, same position, this guy gives me Bakayoko 2.0 vibes, why can't we go for Camavinga who is in the last year on his contract smh.

Many of the CFC fan base are comparing him to Bakayoko mainly being his position and club he plays for and I can't say I've seen him play much but from the clips I've watched of him he looks a far more technical player on the ball that that fraud.

Linked with this clown again, praying it's bollocks, this guy is the Lukaku of midfielders overrated beyond belief, hope United waste the money on him.

Rather take the risk with Tchouameni than this overrated and overpriced British player.

Just waste of money, there are other players who would cost far less than Rice.

Its Matt Law.

The Athletic stated our board were furious with Lampard when he suggested to break the bank for him. I like Rice but we should be all over Tchouameni

Is it just me or do some people's dislike of Rice here seems to be more about his nationality rather than his actual ability etc?

Call me paranoid but I refuse to believe stories that say Tuchel wants Player A, B, C until we know for sure he's staying, *ahem* regardless of what happens in these last two games.

The difference between then and now is we could use Abraham to lower the price in a player + cash for player deal. West Ham also need a striker since Antonio is a tad injury prone.

There's two advantages to this if we make it happen - (a) we let go of an unwanted player and (b) Rice already knows the league and has less question marks over him than Tchouameni (based on some responses here).
