Rogers won't happen this summer, Simons and Garnacho will be the last two incomings

I can't see a situation where he doesn't end up here eventually though.

Seems destined for us.

I see the Jackson brief has gone out. To me that sounds like one of Newcastle or Man United have expressed behind the scenes that whichever of them fails to land Sesko will pursue Nico.

I can still see the long talked about Jackson for Garnacho swap happenening in some shape or form.

If Guehi agreed to re-join (seemed like he was liverpool bound), one of the other CB's would be sold, depends upon who Maresca prefers between Trev and Tosin.

Why would we buy a bang average player like Guehi, we have enough of these, add a top class one or don't bring at all.

I wouldn't take Guehi right now, only because I don't think the money is worth it, but calling him bang average is just ridiculous. He is a very good CB. No doubts about it. There is a reason that he is being courted by CL clubs and the current PL champions.

That guy isn't better than Chalobah, a complete waste of money. Some of you said the exact same thing with KDH when we already had Carney, a player who was just as good if not better.

Only way I’d take a new CB this summer is if it was a clear and significant upgrade on who’s already here. Guehi is absolutely not a clear upgrade on either Trev or Tosin. Even if you might say he’s better it’s not significant enough to warrant a big fee or selling one of the ones we have.

Along with goalkeeper and the defensive midfield positions, I think CB is a place where we assess how things go this season and then go big for top players next summer if necessary.

Selling or replacing Trev or Tosin after the extremely solid season’s they both just had would be super harsh. And I was a Chalobah skeptic when we first decided to bring him back.

If you think it is a waste of money due to who we already have, that is fair but to call him bang average is just stupid. Him and KDH is completely different. Guehi is an established England international and recent FA Cup winner and is courted by the biggest teams. KDH with all respect was never going to be a regular starter here. Guehi is a very good defender.

Simon Phillips also said that the Wolves are working on a Disasi transfer.

In addition, Chelsea would be open to Basiashile leaving, but he does not want to go and is happy with his role at Chelsea! Chelsea still has the 20% resale clause for Guehi, so something could happen there.

He also said that W. Fofana will be sold if the right offer comes along.

Anselmino will still be loaned out.

Veiga is definitely leaving.

Still no word of an actual bid for Xavi despite being in advanced talks for 2+ weeks now. Both Newcastle and United have been quick to officially bid for Sesko to Leipzig. I hope they’re fine selling both because it looks like that sale will happen first.
