Vesper 30,320 Posted June 2 Share Posted June 2 Jacob Steinberg - Spoke to a source on Gittens… The reply: ‘Gittens is liked but we are speaking to so many players right now.’ Personally, I remember reporting here about a month or so ago that Gittens was the most likely new winger to arrive. However, with his price going up, I’m really not sure that Chelsea will be as keen to bring him. But let’s just see what happens and if Dortmund would be willing to negotiate it down. Dortmund fans seem perfectly happy to see Gittens sold. For me he feels like such a Spurs or Villa level signing where that sort of price is the highest they’ll go to and his level is all they can attract. Chelsea should be aiming much higher. All Gittens feels like he’d be here is expensive squad depth. And since that’s the case we may as well just keep Sancho for half the cost.
