Looks a completely different player even than at Dortmund post United, so odd. Good for us, obviously, 45 minutes in but he's nothing like he was. Maybe having the going squad of Noni, Cole etc helped heaps. Let's wait and see. Give him time. Mudryk looked amazing on debut against Liverpool. Vesper 30,226
as I have said for years Pedro Neto simply doesn't produce enough goals he had only 14 goals and 19 assists, all comps, in his 5 seasons in the EPL plus he is left footed (we are just overloaded in terms of wingers both now and coming in who are left-footed) and does not play well on the left wing plus he is very injury-prone I still do not understand why we dropped £54m on him bigbluewillie

I agree he’s not a cut inside and shoot and is more a wide defensive/selfless winger. Contrary to many here I value that role tremendously. You can spot a player doing that job in every silverware run. It’s a team sport not a game about individual stats. With that said, I’m not entirely sure wide players would be that effective with Jackson in attack; he’d need more of a target man type as a striker. For what you get, not having to watch Mudryk try to play football, money well spent.
Thor 2,720
Neto is fine. A creative outlet that can open the game up. I think that wing becomes Sancho’s as a starting option and Neto to come on late and run at teams. Given the way we play, I’d love to see Sancho, Nkunku and Palmer from left to right. All sitting behind Jackson. Having Noni, Neto, Felix and anyone else is excellent as backups or rotational players there. If Lavia can stay healthy our midfield is looking good. Just need some continuity and understanding of where they’ll all play together. If we’re getting sliced through the middle - maybe play all 3 there and have Jackson sit from up front. Nkunku, Sancho and Palmer won’t be short of creativity. robsblubot

Vesper 30,226
Chelsea ready tempting offer to sign Lautaro Martinez https://football-talk.co.uk/207473/Chelsea-ready-tempting-offer-to-sign-lautaro-martinez/ Chelsea remain keen on landing a striker in 2025 and although Victor Osimhen is their primary option, an alternative to the Nigerian has emerged in the shape of Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez. In their bid to land the Argentine international, the Blues are ready to table a tempting offer to Inter Milan. As per Football Transfers, Chelsea are willing to include Benoit Badiashile, Carney Chukwuemeka and Mykhaylo Mudryk in a swap deal for the South American hitman. Martinez recently penned a deal at the Giuseppe Meazza until 2028 and is valued at £93 million by Inter Milan, the report adds, and Chelsea are prepared to sweeten the deal by offering a up to three players – whose collective valuation stands at £110 million. A transfer for Martinez is still in its formative stages but it will not come as a surprise if the west Londoners formally show an interest in his signing next summer. Martinez better suited for Chelsea than Osimhen Lautaro Martinez is the captain at Inter Milan but having enjoyed a successful career in Italy, he could be open to the prospect of pursuing a new challenge, especially in the Premier League. The World Cup winner would perhaps be a better option for Chelsea as compared to Osimhen. Not only is he a more capable player in areas outside the box, but his conduct off the field is also better than that of the Napoli marksman, who is now on loan at Galatasaray. Osimhen has caused controversy in the past by raising questions over his continuity in Naples while the issue regarding his future in the recently concluded transfer window was also not handled as professionally as it should have been by him and his entourage. On the contrary, Martinez has maintained a low profile amid rumours linking him with a move away from the San Siro, and his dedication to Inter Milan has seen him get rewarded with the captain’s armband. He would certainly be an exciting signing for Chelsea but the Blues’ attempt of signing him in a swap deal might be completely rebuked, especially given that would be offering players who have severely underperformed for them in recent years. mkh 601
TBR Football understands that Chelsea are in the market for a new right-back in January as they continue to have huge worries over their captain, Reece James. Enzo Maresca was forced to press Axel Disasi into action at the weekend. #Chelsea may be tempted to sell Josh Acheampong for the right price, with Newcastle United monitoring the 18-year-old right-back. 😟😵💫 TheHulk
mkh 601
Chelsea want to get rid of several fringe players in January and £62M winger Mykhailo Mudryk is among those who could leave. Axel Disasi, Carney Chukwuemeka (£40m Exit clause), Cesare Casadei, Benoit Badiashile and Ben Chilwell could also be sold in the winter window.
