Anyways, Everton are in a fight for their PL lives. They’re about to sell their best young talent Gordon to Newcastle. Why would they also sell Onana who they just bought a few months ago? Plus, they’re having big trouble currently even getting a new manager.

It’s like they’re asking to get relegated.

Yep, both Lavia and Onana may only be available in the summer.

Enzo IS worth the €100m price

Not €100m

€120m (£105.5m)

And now some are saying Benfica is demanding we pay the taxes too (I think it's bullshit, I don't see it being enforceable)

So an insane €160m (£141m)

Enzo is not worth 160m euros, sorry

Even Bellingham is not worth that (maybe close, but I say £125/130m MAX.

IF that €160m is an enforceable price, forget Enzo.

Only 2 players on the planet worth that are Mbappe and Håland. No one else is close to them atm.

Chelsea defender Bashir Humphreys to join Paderborn on loan

https://theathletic.com/4125717/2023/01/25/Chelsea-youngster-bashir-humphreys-paderborn-loan-transfer/

Bashir Humphreys

Chelsea academy defender Bashir Humphreys is joining 2. Bundesliga side Paderborn on loan until the end of the season.

Humphreys, 19, has been regularly involved in first-team training sessions under Graham Potter and made his senior debut for Chelsea earlier this month at centre-back alongside Kalidou Koulibaly in a 4-0 loss to Manchester City at Etihad Stadium in the FA Cup third round.

He will continue his development in Germany’s second tier and his arrival is one of the first deals overseen by Benjamin Weber, Thomas Tuchel’s trusted analyst and assistant at Chelsea, since his appointment as Paderborn’s sporting director at the start of 2023.

Clubs in the Championship and League One also expressed interest in loaning Humphreys, who has represented England at U16 and U19 level, but the player and Chelsea’s new technical director Christopher Vivell both regarded Paderborn as a suitable environment for him to gain more first-team experience and refine his game.

Paderborn currently lie sixth in 2. Bundesliga and there is a possibility that the loan agreement could be renewed for next season if they gain promotion to Germany’s top flight.

Humphreys is contracted to Chelsea until June 2024, with an option to extend for a further year.

Chelsea development squad teammate Dion Rankine is expected to sign a new contract this week that will keep him at the club until June 2025.

The 20-year-old winger, who has also played at wing-back during his progression through the Cobham academy, was set to become a free agent this summer and was being pursued by several lower league English clubs.

It is yet to be decided whether Rankine will stay at Chelsea or depart in January to join one of the clubs in England or continental Europe who have expressed interest in taking him on loan.

If Enzo and Caicedo aren't available might as well just not buy anyone rather than panic buy Onana for 50M or anything like that.

Just finalize the Gusto deal, go the rest of the season with what we already have and have another look at the midfield situation in the summer.

Ill rip my hair off and go bald if we panic sign someone like Alvarez.

Better get Zakaria fit and grind out the season as you said.

Even if sign Enzo and Caicedo we are not winning anything. We have Kante, Jorgi, Kova, Zakaria, RLC and you can add Chukwuemeka Gallagher and Mount for 2 to 3 positions on the pitch. How can you build a new squad with 40 players. We should get Gusto before United if possible, but that is that. Wait until the summer to sell/release players and start from scratch.

If GP wants to start playing with a lone DM we can try Zakaria/Kante or even Chalobah there for the rest of the players to start getting used to it and buy the new guy in the summer.

We have 32 players currently and this is without academy guys that played some minutes this season. Add Gusto and MF. When players are back fit we gonna have one full team not even making the bench. 5 days left. When we gonna sell/loan some players?

Slonina, Hall, Fofana should go on loan, maybe even CC. RLC and Ziyech sold.

He really has not been the player everyone thought he would be....yet. He may need more time to find his way in the PL. I think 60M pounds is starter money.

Pretty early to judge him, whole Wolves team looks terrible this season

Is he so much worse than 100m Caicedo?

Just seen couple video of matheus nunes.

I'm quite impressed, i think his style of play is close to enzo. Really like what i see about him. Type of midfielder that we truly lacked

Much prefered him than caicedo and onana. Where both player a bit similiar to kante.

Don't get me wrong, kante type of player in our team like us is very important. But player who have similiar playing still like enzo could elevate our midfield and our team general play massively.

He has some composure on the ball, has some good technical ability, the way he progress the ball forward, most of the time keep looking to make forward pass, and a bit combative as well. To see that kind of player in our midfield is really exciting than make some addition with other destroyer player or any other midfielder with limited brain and technical skill on the ball

Ironically, Lamptey is being linked with going to Lyon as possible replacement for Gusto if he comes to us. Ironic as Lamptey is a player who came through our academy and had many fans questioning why we let him go as he was a real livewire when he burst on to scene for Brighton. This season, I think he has managed 1 league start which is really strange. Seemed to have fallen out of favour under Potter and now Zerbi too. Seems the injuries he picked up before have set him back as Brighton prefer playing a CM at RB instead of him.

His case was similar to Livramento and Guehi - he wanted time play, we couldn't guarantee it so they decided they won't extend with us. Not much we could do.

He started very hot with Brighton then injuries occured and he never fully recovered from this. In addition to this Brighton are playing 4atb more often this season, and Lamptey is better wingback than full back.
