Won't be surprised if Tuchel plays Mount in CM if we don't sign a new midfielder.

And which bid are you referring to?

Think aside from Rice the rest are getable (Camavinga, Tchouameni, Kamara, and Saul). Depends on what Tuchel wants though a DM or a CM?

But there are barely any links with them at the moment. Even the one on Tchouameni has gone quiet. If the club really want Rice, they might just wait until next season.

Struggling to see how we fit Lukaku, Werner, Havertz, and Mount in the same XI without switching to a back 4. Which I don’t think TT will do. So that means one of Werner or Mount is going to be on the bench quite often which sucks. I think Havertz is nailed on to start.

Even if we do switch to a back 4 it would likely mean one of Havertz or Mount out wide which isn’t where you want them.

Mount may be pushed back to the Pivot which may explain the lack of bids/news on a CM. Not sure this will work but it may be being considered.

Matt Law with the "latest" on Lukaku...

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2021/08/03/romelu-lukaku-priced-100m-inter-may-forced-sell-Chelsea-target/

Inter Milan want around £100million for Chelsea target Romelu Lukaku and may be forced to cash in on him before the end of the transfer window.

Telegraph Sport revealed on Monday that Lukaku has jumped back to the top of Chelsea’s striker wish-list with the Blues now actively pursuing a deal for their former player.

Inter have insisted that Lukaku is not for sale and have rejected proposals that have included Marcos Alonso for the Belgian, but Chelsea remain undeterred.

Sources close to the Italian club, who have financial difficulties, have confirmed they need to sanction at least one more big sale before the end of the month and that will give Chelsea hope that Inter will eventually accept a bid for Lukaku.

Inter would prefer to sell Lukaku’s team-mate Lautaro Martinez, who is of interest to Arsenal, but so far they only have Chelsea ready to pay big money for Lukaku.

Chelsea still hope to negotiate Inter’s asing price down or convince the Serie A champions to accept a player in the opposite direction and there is growing confidence that a deal may be viable.

Lukaku has made it clear that he is happy to start the new season at Inter and there is no prospect of him requesting a move or refusing to train.

But it is believed he would listen to any proposal from Chelsea and that his former club are one of the few that may be able to tempt him away from Milan.

Lukaku is adamant that he will decide his future, rather than following the wishes of an agent or a club, and the opinion of his mother Adolphine could be key.

Adolphine is believed to have played a big role in Lukaku’s decision to first join Everton and then reject a new contract to leave. He originally wanted to re-join Chelsea from the Toffees, but was convinced to instead move to Manchester United.

Lukaku subsequently split from his old agent Mino Raiola, who brokered the United move, and is now represented by Federico Pastorello, who enjoys a good relationship with Chelsea.

Tuchel already expressed that Mount isn't suited in the pivot.

In a back 4 we need out and out wingers to offer width. So basically one of Havertz, Mount, or Werner will be on the bench.
