I dont see Kounde to be Chelsea player  today or tomorow  which means that this transfer will not be so easy  which will only increase the time and make us focus on some panic buy like  Phil Jones .

I'll do an account bet that we won't sign Phil Jones.

Deal?

Kounde looks like such a panic buy to me.

How so?

Wasn't it reported a couple days ago by The Athletic (Simon Johnson) that the club have been extensively scouting Kounde for the last two years? 1-2 years ago there might still have been some doubts whether he's actually quality or just one of those players who had a good season and then faded into obscurity but he's kept his level and actually continued his development at Sevilla so it makes sense for the club to go for him now when another CB is needed. Also said on the article that Kounde is one of the players Tuchel put on his targets list for this window when he first joined the club in January, so if that's all true then it's pretty much the furthest away from a panic buy you can get.

Supposedly reducing the Tammy price and looking very likely that Emerson will be sold too.

Something is happening....it's about to go off I'm telling you.

Emerson was always going to be sold though, and I'm quite surprised it hasn't already happened because surely his performances at the Euros made his stock go higher in Italy.

Tammy has two years left on his deal so if he can't be sold for the full asking price now then he definitely won't fetch the same value later either. Tuchel obviously doesn't have use for Tammy so it makes sense to sell him to the highest bidder now, even if it means the club have to lower the asking price a little bit.

I don't know what snowball effect you think those two are going to set off but I wouldn't expect much.

Just I gave an example of panic buy if  is  not Phil Jones  will be someone like him .

Not that a central defender is vital at the moment  in the presence of a Rudiger, Christensen , Thiago Silva , Azpilicueta .

It's not just about the here and now with the defenders. It's also about planning for the future and making sure that if the worst case scenario happens, we're not having to scramble for CBs next year with the whole world knowing it.

Lautaro Martinez has rejected Arsenal. He would only play in England if the club were playing in the Champions League. (Source: Sport mediaset)

I would not take Martinez over Vlahovic. We need classic striker, Martinez is more like Kai, Griezmann, Dybala type of player. He played striker for Conte in 3-5-2.

Plus Vlahovic is around 2 and a half years younger and scoring more goals.

And scoring goals for a team that fights for relegation is way more harder than for by far best team in the league. Inter scored 89 goals, Fiorentina 47.

Vlahovic has done it for one season. People tend to forget that. Good prospect by the looks of it but would take Latauro Martinez over him all day long, plus he is that sort of CF who can score goals and also link the play which when you play a fluid front 3 like we tried to do last season, that is imperative.

In a partnership or a front 3 with someone like Werner who runs in behind teams and isn’t the best at linking up, surely someone like Martinez would make more sense no than more of a target man type which Vlahovic looks like.

Why do you think Lukaku and Martinez worked so well? Lukaku does less linking up because Martinez does it. And Martinez is also a hugely underrated goalscorer, aged 22 having scored 49 goals for Inter in 132 games, thats not bad at all. He isn’t like w Dybala who is more of a creative midfielder/10 as opposed to a second striker or centre forward. Or like Kai who is an attacking midfielder.

ST is more vital than CB at this moment .

Giroud - done

Abraham - is at the exit

We have only Werner who played LW  - 10 days before 1st official game

not serious for a team that will challenge City and Liverpool for the title
